Would that be the Alanis Morissette version of irony or true irony?

Well online fandom communities use wanker to mean "that a$$hat who starts drama, doesn't know when to shut up or is otherwise annoying". Fanwank is a term that comes from Television Without Pity where it means "fan's crazy attempts to get their theory, ship, or plot hole patched up with continuity". Fandom_Wank and it's affiliate communities are like OH No They Didn't and other sites of that ilk that mock internet and real life drama with a snarky flair. On that site, regulars are refered to as wankas as opposed to the mocked posters who are wankers. It's got a really mild connotation on the interwebs.
For other terms with more impact in country of origin than online and elsewhere see: Bugger (UK) and Baka (Japan)
