I can't imagine Jessica Rose doing nothing about this. I would think she'd side with Yousef. But I don't really know her so...

I don't think we need to persecute anyone who is trying to keep an open mind. None of us know the actual facts.

The only thing we have to go on is one person's vague side of what happened. Until we have more info, we should keep from turning on each other.

Since Yousef's myspace is private I can't access it and don't really feel like waiting around until he declares me friendly (also, i really should be working right now)

SO:

Can someone please re-post what is on his myspace so all us lameoids who are trying to pretend we aren't obsessed by not being a myspace friend of the actor can know what the heck all you who have embraced the obsession are actually talking about!

EDIT:
Also, I found this in the LGpedia under Allen Smithee (As well as the Yousef page)

Rumour has arisen that Yousef may be involuntarily leaving the series, stemming from a blog entry on his private Myspace account which stated that he "will not really be part of the LG thing anymore" and that he had been told to start looking for a new job. Nothing has been confirmed by the creators as of yet, although it is telling that the actor's entry in the LGpedia has recently been replaced by "Allen Smithee", a pseudonym used in Hollywood by directors who want to disassociate themselves from their work.

What the heck does that mean?

Actually, no it hasn't. The creators have said all along that they didn't intend Daniel and Bree to get together -- they inserted the romantic element after all the comments on the Hiking video were saying, "Bree, Daniel is totally into you." So the series was supposed to be about Bree and her religion from the get-go.

But Daniel has become integral to the story as it's actually developed, IMHO. I'm not one of those who think that Bree and Daniel should wander off hand in hand into the sunset -- my reaction to those suggestions, which I've kept quiet about up until now, has frankly been "Vomit." But Daniel has endeared himself to me and to the rest of us, and unless he's being dumped FOR REASONS THAT SERVE THE STORYLINE -- like if he's going to be sacrificed, as I propose in the theory I keep talking about in the "Nuit kills man" thread (if you're sick of hearing me pimp this theory, you may slap me with a dead fish) -- I think getting rid of him would reduce my interest in LG15 by about 99%.

That said, I want to echo what Mirage said -- that Yousef may have done something completely apart from his acting that caused the creators to dump him. For example, maybe he's not supposed to be interacting with the fans by PM or on MySpace.

Until I hear more facts, I'm not going to jump to any conclusions. And I want to see how the story plays out. At this point, though, I don't have a good feeling about this development.

I haven't heard about these incidents. Can you provide more details, Terryfic?

I think that if the rumours were untrue then someone would have dispelled them by now. I think that it is is sad that they are getting rid of danielbeast and the budding romance between bree and daniel was what got me interested in this in the first place.

It upsets me that the creators would get rid of daniel with so little reguard for what the fans think. If you look at both this poll and the other poll in the forum it is clear that this is not what the fans want and I think that the series will loose out as a result. I for one will not be watching LG15 when (if?) daniel is gone as he is my favourite character and I would rather remember it as the wonderful show it was as opposed to the awful show that it will become.

Most people aren't arguing whether or not he's been fired....but we don't know WHY he was fired. Was it something deserved, not deserved? We dont' know...

Him saying in that myspace message something along the lines of looks like I'm not a good enough actor to be on the show implies he was fired for reasons other than his personal behavior or any sort of legal problem. I believe the new corporate goons that have taken over wanted him gone and so he was let go.

It doesn't say that to me...it's obviously written by someone very upset at getting fired. Have you ever been fired? Everyone spins things...why wasn't he good enough? Is that why they fired him? Is that why he is SAYING hs was fired? Too many things we don't know to go off assuming things.

I disagree and think they only said that the fans changed the storyline to say they are using fan input. The secret society cult thing has been the secondary storyline - Bree and Daniel's relationship was the primary.

That's why I don't think it's possible to "get the whole story". Will you believe anything the creators say? Would it be beyond their capabilities to make something up? Will they say that his character was always supposed to die?

That the assumption I have as well. If it were for his behavior or work ethic, I would think we'd have some sort of statement from the creators by now. Them not commenting only makes me think they are scrambling to find a way to save this project from tanking without one of the main characters.

Using your logic, would it be beyond a disgruntedl ex employee to spin the reason of his firing?

See? That's why Yousef should flat out post what happened...and the creatatrons should...well...at least address this.

And, the first part is pure interpretation so there's no need to state anything else. People have seen most aspects of this story differently from the beginning.

Frankly, all Yousef really said was that he was fired. He hasn't gone into the details, therefore there was nothing to spin! I think nothing short of him saying "I was fired, I am a terrible person and deserved it" would make you think he was not spinning anything.
