Like maybe she just took something and needed to wash it down with water?

She's also sad because her parents are sad, and they're sad because the deacons didn't react well to finding out Bree wants out. Then again, sad is better than dead. The question is, why are Bree's parents sad? Is it because they found something out? Something potentially harmful to Bree?

Most importantly, Bree gives us a lesson about animals and intelligence, when it comes to sadness. She notes that when Owen gets sad, he hides in his shell. When Thor gets sad, he gets angry! *growl* But Purple Monkey never gets sad!

Bree previously equates expressing sadness to intelligence, noting the relatively high intelligence of an elephant. Therefore, we can assume that Owen and Thor are intelligent, and Monkey is not! *gasp* He does know how to groove though!

I liked this video!
Doesn't that not make sense because monkeys are smarter than turtles and bears, so shouldn't Purple Monkey express more sadness and be sad more often because monkeys are more intelligent?

maybe those are the iron pills from way back when... or anti-depressants.

Bree states that her Parent's talked to the Deacon's and they looked all sad and won't tell her what happend. Bree looks more worried than sad to me.

Look's like it's not going to be as simple to get out of ceremony as she thought.

If that bottle is a pill bottle it's a MONSTER. My own seratonin-filled pills come in a thing 1/5 that size and it has 3 months worth in there, and it doesn't even fill it up to half. Though I do have a vitamin C tablet bottle that's about that size, though it's brown and not clear.

So maybe they're some kind of chewy vitamins, if it's not a clear bottle.

edit!:
If we're still talking about iron, iron does come in chew tablets. That might be what the water is for, because I've taken them and they taste pretty gnarly. Definitly don't want that taste in your mouth.

Did anyone else notice or find it odd that the song for this video is called "Wondering Where You Are"?

It could just be me over anaylzing the video again though  I just thought it was an interesting connection to Gemma's last video!

The big bottle is clear, so that makes it less likely (but not impossible) to be a medication. Many meds are light sensitive and are placed in opaque or tinted bottles to keep the light out. In fact the only med I can think of that comes in a clear container is asprin.

Also a good point about the size as stated before. That's a friggin huge bottle if it's medication. Depending on what it was, it would be an extremely expensive purchase. I know in my state, you are only allowed to get up to 3 months of meds at a time when using insurance. And with any kind of meds that could be abused (including antidepressants) a doctor may only give out a perscription for 3 months at a time. Not sure about what the laws are in other parts of the country.

Perhaps someone in the cult is a medical doctor passing out meds "under the table"? Still doesn't explain the clear bottle though.

The bottle on the left looks like a water bottle for sure, though.

I bet the cult would have lots of 'occupations' within it just to keep everyone away from influences. Like maybe they don't trust "our" doctors, so they have doctors within the community that know about their culture. Know enough that they think certain pills are important, and that they'll give a crap-ton of them without question.

I use "these" and 'these' too much. Nrgh.

Either way, we were definitly supposed to notice the two bottles. There's been a water bottle before, I think, but never the big one.

Monkeys in general possess higher learning than many animals. But like people, not all monkeys are created equal. I suppose we're to assume that Purple Monkey just isn't all that bright! :)

It seems to me that P. Monkey is definately above the stuffed animal squabbles. He wants everyone to be friends....and friends are nice to each other. :)

Bree has been taking pills... Maybe anti depressives?
Actually, antidepressants of the type you are thinking of are called Selective Seritonin Re-uptake Inhibitors, or SSRIs. Your brain makes seritonin naturally, but in depressed people it either doesn't make enough or is reabsorbed by the body too quickly. The SSRI drugs slow down the reabsorption of the seritonin, so more of that chemical is available in your brain.

Probably more than you wanted to know, but:)
