Losing my job
well i WAS marketing and promotions manager at this resort but due to some recent debt they had to make cuts and of course the art department gets cut first. ... the problem with likeing art things is t when it gets down to it people don't find them practicle and get rid of them first...
So what am I going to do... maybe go back to school.

I own a dance studio. Its only my second year in business, but I couldn't be happier
!!! I'm a stay at home mom during the day (does anyone want a 4 year old with the attitude of a 16 year old). All in all, I'm very satisfied with my life. Now if I could just make money doing what I love instead of barely scraping by, that would be even better!!

It's official!! I'm getting married September 28, 2007!!

I really couldn't ask for my kids to be any different then they are. My son is an angel and my daughter will probably be in a juvenile detention center any day now, but at least she won't be someones bitch!!
I always tell people that I'm a dance teacher because it only requires me to count up to 8!! And if you know me, you know thats partially true

I was a nanny for a few years, too. Unfortunately, there were no billies in the region, and livestock animals were few and far between, so I ended up being cooked in a pit and served up as chevon at a wedding feast. Did the family who owned me some good, though. The daughter married up, as people say. Must be why this incarnation isn't so rough.creativebarbie wrote:haha I was a nany for 2 years and I have delt with the 4 year old with the attiude of a 16 year old.

My jobs....hmmmm....
I used to be a campaign director for a credit card company but now I get to stay home with the kids until I start school again next fall. Now I was excited that I would get to stay home since I worked completely through the first 3 years of my first little boys life. I dreamt of strolls through the park, reading books and coloring at the table, providing my boys with all the love and fun they could imagine.... but really what is my job?
Housekeeper
Cook
Psychologist
Counselor
Motivation Coach
Taxi
Assistant Teacher (at pre-school)
Book Keeper ( which I only wish I could be fired from)
Days upon days of kids screaming...changing poopy diapers...being constantly dirty from food accidents (accidents=son throwing whatever is on the tray of his high chair at me)and taking 10 minutes just to get from the house to the car *sigh*
<----- that's how I look most of the time
I'm sure there's more but I'll leave it at that. I'm sure some of you Mom's know what I'm talking about
Some days I wish I could go back to work because it would be like a vacation lol.
As for college.. I was working toward a B.A. in Sociology/Social Work but...
I've changed my mind
I'm going to go into what I love and that's Art. So.... now I'm starting over.

Hmmmm..another clue perhaps? Most definately... if it's a Budweiser Semi...everyone KNOWS that they are funded by the Discovery Channel who is owned by Disney that is ran by a Masonic Mouse who is the half brother of Collin Powell ..who EVERYONE knows is a member of the Golden Dawn! Coincidence?????spaciegirl wrote:Yesterday, while I sat in traffic (which I do every day) I realized that the semi I had been perpetually stuck next to had CROWLEY spelled out in big white letters on the side of it. What does it mean?
It's my theory and I'm sticking to it!
I can feel your pain on that one. I stay at home during the day with my daughter (we lovingly refer to her as Beelzebub-sp?) in our home and work with other peoples kids at night. Someone, I can't remember who, figured out that with all the jobs stay at home moms due, they should actually be paid at least a $90,000 salary per year.SarawithouttheH wrote:My jobs....hmmmm....

I just laughed hysterically for a few minutes. I often thank god I'm not on one of those hidden camera shows where they have the camera in your car becuase I do some really fu$ked up stuff in my car all day...like laughing for no apperent reaosn..I sing really loud..I talk to myself A LOT.. I curse everyone out who gets within 10 feet of my vehicle..I break numerous laws, burp, pick my nose, cry, adjust my boobs in my bra, lose cigarettes that I never recover..race people..return phone calls which all end in me yelling at the callee becuase I'm trying to drive, like it's their fault I called them...it's like an entire manic episode in my tiny car everyday.wintermute wrote:Cassie is watching YOUspaciegirl wrote:Yesterday, while I sat in traffic (which I do every day) I realized that the semi I had been perpetually stuck next to had CROWLEY spelled out in big white letters on the side of it. Me and my key...same as it ever was.
I am a mommy. The pay stinks, but the benefits are pretty spectacular!
I also advocate for kids with disabilities, and am the cub scout pack leader for a group of special needs boys (ummm, the scouts don't exactly know about my religious preferences, so shhhhhhh!).
(My middle son has autism, if anyone wonders why I do that)

I am a staffing consultant for an employment agency with a focus on oilfield development.
So, pretty much I put up with unappreciative smelly/oilcovered men that either talk to me like I'm stupid or stare at my boobs.

Vote 'mute in '08! - because Paris Hilton and P. Diddy will both talk about it for months without acctually doing it themselves.
