We've already been discussing this -- she "didn't" exist when she was a brand new student to the school and everyone was ignoring her. It only makes sense that it would take some time for the other kids to notice Bree's easy rapport with the teachers and her other subtle differences and start using those as weapons against her. It's possible that the kids only started being terrible to her *after* she befriended Cassie, who seems to have been another school outcast..

My only problem with Bree's sad story is that, where I went to school, the cute girls never got picked on! Even the smart ones!
I know I know, it's a story, and it probably happens eventually. But she's too cute to be mean to! *swoons*

Hmm... maybe she still hadn't lost her baby fat at late-14. That's a pretty transitional year for a lot of girls, when they start making the transition from Geek to Chic. So good for Daniel -- maybe he saw the diamond in the rough when he first met Bree, stuck with it, and hit the HOT GIRL JACKPOT.

I forgot all about after school specials!
Whatever happened to those?

The 80s ended.
Took a drink of water before reading that.
Literally had to do the whole "hold the laptop upside down and shake vigorously to get water out" dance of shame.

I believe that makes five including myself, if my count isn't off. Including both undergrad and grad. We should all be studying, but this is far more interesting!

I've had that on my mind too. haha. But likeyou said, you gotta remember that it's fiction. Even in todays movies, the geeky, nerdy girl is still pretty hot...they just throw some glasses on her and dress her down.
In reality, you're right. A girl that looks like her will at LEAST have lots of guys flocking around her.

BTW, I think the picture of the three people has changed!!! I don't see a middle person anymore, and it seems like daytime instead of night. The tie does look shifted here as well.
Yeah, I researched other vids and I
can not see a definitive change... I am suspicious though!

you are so right! I notced that too!

Wow, I am so guilty of reading another area of the board that I almost totally ignore this part. The posts about the picture changing just freaked me out, because looking at the "how my parents met" video, it almost looks like a huge ghost standing in the photo. It's probably been discussed before, but these past couple of posts here are what it brought it to my attention.

i don't want to keep going over this deal with the picture on Bree's dresser, because it is probably nothing.
However, I do think that the creators have gone through the trouble of manipulating the camera to keep an element of mystery about the middle person's position, shape and overall identity. Either something is in the way of the middle person (a bottle), or the camera angle is just so that that person can not be easily discerned.
Is this just to throw us off course? Or is there something relevant about the picture to the storyline?

It does look like the bottle....I'm curious still, but maybe the creators are just trying to make her room look lived in?

LOL, it didn't even occur to me it was bottle

But it is curious how it gives a ghost effect, almost purposely.

Thanks for the pictures nobackspacebutton.
In the first picture from your post, there is an overlap of the guy's suit (black) and the white dress of the girl's (middle) arm. In the next two picture frames, this appears blurred out!
