Hmm, Mojave desert is 1500 miles from Zavalla, TX--that could be where the bunker is.
So, they probably drove 1500 miles from the bunker to Texas.
So, why did Jonas map it from his house?

didn't the creators at one point (probably after the re-unofficial-izing of opaphid) that there were going to be considerably fewer puzzles though?
in miles' post the other day he mentioned they were working to add more puzzles now, I thought

There is every possibility that rich people can do math but forum dwellers are way too anal.

I tell people I was born in Upstate New York. Do you know how big of a land mass that is? When I point to a map, I point about midway along the horizontal boarder of New York and Pennsylvania. Only I wasn't born there. I was born in Buffalo, New York. That's right near the great lakes. That's a whole lot further away from where I point than Jonas' marker was from the edge of the park. Give the guy a break! Remember he's the one everybody blew raspberries at for getting lost.
As for the 1500 miles vs. 2000 miles, how were you people calculating it? Which route did you take? Did you go the northern route over the pass then south? Did you go to LA then buzz across Arizona?

My point is, he wasn't trying to be accurate. He bloody well wasn't trying to be even close. He was upset! He was venting!!
Like me.

Whew!!

I feel better now.

First and foremost, whats up with Jonas's hair? And since when did this turn into an educational video? I mean one example sure. We get the idea. But that many? Jeez.
Second; This was really kinda boring. =/ *YAWN*
Edit* did like how Jonas said him and Bree got closer lately though.
Edit again* What does he mean by "I really think she was starting to like me too" like as friends? cause they have BEEN friends, so more?!

sack,
I would take your rant more seriously if you didn't use so many animated smilies.

That's a good question. In a straight line maybe it is 1500 miles. Let me see if I can find out.
ETA: Okay, using
this, apparently the distance from Inverness to Zavalla is about 1681 miles. So 1500 is a nice number to round it off to.

Oh, lordy! Don't take me too seriously! That's how arguments start!

Why is the Ceremony the Big Bad?

I would look for other possible clues rather than more, bandwidth wasting, arguments about mileage. I agree with Lurker... just shoot me.
Not sure if they ARE including "clues" anymore though. My guess is even THEY have pink herring burnout and are doing their best to tie up the interminable loose ends already afoot. It really did get kinda fatiguing keeping up with all of them, to no avail...
Bring on the dreaded (why the heck is it Soooooo dreaded

) Ceremony!

I came to the same calculation using location by longitude and latitude. The straight line azimuth is 98 degrees.

except he said he drove 1500 miles, right?
I just want to think that there's something here. At least maybe we're getting an idea where the bunker is

You're clearly more interested in math than me. I just want something where I can punch in the cities and get an answer.
Haether wrote:except he said he drove 1500 miles, right?
Ah, good point. Well, actually ... I doubt he even thought about what route they took when he figured this up. He probably just looked up the distance between the cities and then rounded off.

Man... I hate the Bree/Jonas relationship. Bree/Daniel is better. Jonas is too pretty. He can get anyone.
The random photoshopping was odd. It kind of felt like an episode of, "Scrubs."

Exactly my thought. I thought, "This guy and his bro Daniel need some kick-ass women to come in and tell them what to do next."
saralynn wrote:You know what I think? Unless she proves to me otherwise, I think Bree is a master manipulator. She was raised by manipulators, who were a part of a bigger group of manipulators. She knew she had those guys wrapped around her finger, and they'd do ANYTHING for her.. including drive her to fscking TEXAS.
I think Jonas and Daniel have been had. She is making absolutely no sense right now, and if she gave a shit about either of the boys she wouldn't be doing this right now.
I agree that she's great at manipulation, but I disagree that she wouldn't be doing this if she cared about the boys. She's trying to keep a fourteen-year-old from being killed, and she's doing it the best way that she knows.
MayhemII wrote:Maybe 1500 is a metaphor or code for something incase Bree is watchiing.
Could be. Could very well be. Otherwise the mileage discrepancies don't make a hell of a lot of sense.
immortal1 wrote:So they are waiting for Bree to contact them? Why the hell would the Order allow that?!
Good question. So maybe Mayhem is right and he's really saying something else.
Codebreakers and, er, puzzle-doers, get to work!

Same here. The bigger ones actually give me a headache.
If the 1500 miles isn't a clue, then this was an incredibly dumb vid. I don't want it to have been incredibly dumb; therefore, I hope that this vid contained a hidden message for Bree.
