I'm not sure why it wouldn't let you convert it... you can always use zamzar.com, that's how I convert files, and it works most of the time.

I've had this happen to me and I know how to fix it. First, go to TuCows.com or download.com and type in "video converter" or "avi/mov converter," etc. and try out the software. You may need to convert the movies before you can use them.

I am using RAD Video tools to convert the videos into a format that is compatible to WMM (avi). When I try to convert the file, it says, "Quicktime was not able to decompress the audio track (error -2126)! And it says basically in either case it won't let me export the audio in the movies. I know it is not my quicktime, and just to be sure I uninstalled and re-installed it. I'm not really sure what it means by 'broken audio codec'. I am really stuck!

If that doesn't work for you, you may want to try my suggestion. I went through a lot of software to find one that works for me.. and I can't remember the name of it right now.
