Wait, "what's a grinder?" *gasp* It's a submarine sandwich, hoagie, or hero.

Apparently it's a distinctly New England term, though Cali also uses it, I guess:

It says in this that Grotonites use the term submarine, which I'm not sure about. Groton has awesome grinders (some of the best in the area), but I've never heard them described as sub sandwiches?
