I loved him. He was the only character in that whole goddamn book series that had an ounce of originality and integrity and...awesomeness. I was so in love with him. And he's dead.

Chances are that you're not gonna finish the series. But basically, JK Rowling decided that she was going to kill of the greatest character ever in the 7th and final book. And I'm sooo pissed.
It was really a shock. I'm so depressed.
My advice would be to read the first four books, and then just read summaries of the rest. Because a lot of random shit happens in 5 and 6 and 7 that is just completely ridiculous and Rowling really loses the ability for good character continuity, and Harry goes psychotic.Cloud_ax wrote: i might, i like it so far, who knows. i want to know how it all ends after all lol.

It started as an okay (though completely unoriginal) series, and then went downhill from there.
What REALLY annoys me is Voldemort. Talk about cliche. Talk about two-dimensional. COULD YOU POSSIBLY CREATE A MORE PATHETIC VILLAIN!?!??!?! Villains need motivation. You can't have a villain that's evil for the sake of being evil (such as Voldemort). It's the first law of writing a good story. Evidentally JK Rowling did not know this.

The movies are okay. I still have to see the 5th one. The fourth movie wasn't so great. But I think they have a fantastic cast. Especially Rupert. He's exactly how I pictured Ron. And Emma and Dan are great too. And so are James and Oliver, obviously.
