I was up a bit late as well... Clearing stuff off my DVR so that it can ignore more TV shows for me so I don't have to while I'm in class this quarter :lol:

It certainly comes in handy. I went the DIY route and built one myself. The one from the cable company is junk (and requires that I have digital cable, even if I don't want the extra channels) and costs extra. And Tivo has a monthly charge.

Doesn't take much. A moderate PC and a good tuner card or two. Plenty of free software out there to use :) I didn't have a spare PC, so I built one. Cost about twice as much as a Tivo, but I can add as many tuners as I want, plus I can play PC games on my 32" TV :)
