So here's a crazy theory: 13 days from them is the 12th of October, the suggested date of Bree's "ceremony." Perhaps in the CiW continuity:

Cassie is a spirit who is restless, and wants to return to the world for whatever purpose. Perhaps she is actually an important demon/figure for Bree's religion, and the ceremony is a channelling ceremony? Cassie can't physically exist on this plane, but can control the more willing. However, the ceremony will allow her to possess Bree's body and live once more.

But the question: why is she trying to have us chase her down?

I only ment to post it once. I put it in all the places people were looking for answers, Annapanna has some great infromation there and it shoud be read by all. It fits into all the puzzles. I was only trying to help sorry if I went a little overboard
