:P
there are a ton of twin references in this puzzle, so i'm shocked people aren't questioning why.

I'm sorry if I missed something, but besides the Nancy Drew twin book MAYBE being one of the books Tachyon left, what other twin references?

I think the "Sweet Valley High" reference was more making fun of pre-teen girls books...

Has anyone tried to convert a word to hex to get a new 11-number 3-letter password?

hardy boys, and one of the books we were shown plot is about nancy drew finding her twin brother. Or you can just take it as Nancy Drew has a long lost twin.

edit: ok so its not a ton...but its enough to slap me in the face.

Yes we have, but its not going to be that easy. With 11 numbers and 3 letters, that makes a 7 character password that is case sensitive. There are too many possibilities. We need to know the password, and what the case of each letter is, then if it doesn't work by just typing it out we can convert it.

Yeah but, if we assume our password is a 7 letter word in hex, and we take the 11-3 as a clue, it means we need to have 3 of the following characters in our 7 letter word:

J j Z z K k L l M m N n O o

just 4 more letters to go.....

All right, it's not going anywhere!

I'm not very smart when it comes to puzzles that's why I've been "Suspiciously absent" but could the x's and y's mean that the PW is an 11 letter PW consisting of 3 words? It's just a thought and you can trout me all you want. I don't mind.

With it being case sensitive and all, no way we can "hack" the password is all. We did that once, PM wasn't happy, so pretty much has made it to where it won't happen again :)

could it be significant that Carolyn Keene is a pseudonym for a writing 'team'

because JZKLMNO are the letters that translate into a number and a letter in hex

I'm not saying we can hack the password. we have to find something Drew related. I'm just trying to use all the clues to narrow the list of possibilities down.

so this makes me ask this question:

If by sudden chance we hack this password, is it a bright idea to share it?
