I'm gonna be mostly around. Gonna try to do some transcribing work, but will pop in every 5 minutes or so to check if there's something worth being distracted for (won't take much!)
How long have you and your B/F been together? I don't think I'd ever get immune to Mirage persuasiveness!

WAYYY too long. ;)

Let's see....uhm....5 years, going on 6? :D And believe me, he's more than immune. He's like, indifferent AND immune. That's what happens when you've been with someone for that damn long. I've got a severe case of Bored Housewife Syndrome.

And there's only one way to find out how immune you would be, y'know! ;)

Ok, I should be back in like, 1/2 hour or so, provided I dont get tempted by the book (ahh, I'm such a dork...my evil temptation is reading! ;)). Don't work too hard. You need to save that energy for....later.

Bwah!! :D Well at least you made the effort! :D

My aunt owns a pretty popular cake shop about a 1/2 hour away from me. She does all the cakes herself and theres also candies and confectionaries and whatnot, along with handmade items like cards and whatnot. It's gotten a lot of buzz and she's pretty damn popular--she has contracts with a couple of local B&B's to be their cake distributer.

She's looking to open another store (that's why it's still up in the air--she hasn't gotten the space yet) like the first but also offer coffee and whatnot, and she wants me to run it! So it's a lot of everything--customer service, baking, decorating, that kind of stuff. My mom went to school for accounting so she'll be taking care of the books, thankfully, cause I SUCK at math. But she's checking out the space this monday and is looking to open early next spring hopefully, April/March time.

It's not like, a career, but the location is AWESOME (shopping plaza area, and next to a pool hall), so the money should be good and I can start to save up and think about going to some sort of school for....something that I haven't decided yet. ;) But it's something. And I LOVE my aunt, she's awesome--I'd be working with her, my mom, and my cousin, so it'd be like actually getting paid just to have fun.

So I'm happy about that. It's wierd, cause I got bad news yesterday, and good news today! What's tomorrow--indifferent news?

That sounds pretty darned cool! Though I'm sure it would be plenty of long hours, but by then I'm sure you'll have a super sneaky ninja like plan to smuggle in a wireless laptop and talk to us all day at work ;)
So.... you're good with icing, eh? ;)

[innocent] Who, me? ;) [/innocent] Yeah, that might just have to happen.

*wiggles eyebrows* I can work my way with a pastry bag pretty darn well, if I do say so myself (just rusty ;))....why, is there something you have in mind?

This is the cake she made me last year--half chocolate cake and (REAL) peanutbutter filling, half lemon/lemon.

Mmmmm, sounds good. Though I'm not a big cake person. My mother makes cakes for friends (wedding cakes are the worst, they take forever!) and I'd say she does about one every two weeks on average, so I grew up with cake around alllll the time. It just stops tasting good after so long. But I am the icing queen, I was always in charge of getting the correct amount of sweetness in it, and since I moved away she said a few (very blunt) people have come up to her and said they don't like her icing as much now, and want her to go back to how it used to be. ;)

I have impeccable taste, what can I say?

And I could never do roses with icing. Never had the patience to do all those darned petals...

Shank yew, doll-face! *snuggles*

It all depends on if she can get the spot. It's wierd--the owner of the space is a repeat customer of hers, so he really wants to rent it to her. The price is kinda high, and she said that, and he said he's more than willing to work with her. *crosses fingers*

And I know what else I got that could make your mouth water.
