There's something to be said for no responsibility jobs. Right now, I'm sorta wishing mine was one of those. I'm tired of getting bitched at by one of a vendors. What the hell is that about? We're THEIR customer, and THEY are yelling at US?! And then there's the company that my boss told me to have a go at rewriting some PERL scripts for, even though we're not being paid (potential client). I don't know PERL, but it's close enough to stuff I *DO* know to kludge my way through. So, I try to apply one of the fixed they said they needed. They claim my fix broke it... Ummm... I thought that part needed fixed. So, I revert that back to original. Then they claimed that the script is running too often. So I put the entire thing back to original. Now they claim it's completely broken. WTF?! It's the original freaking script! If it's broken, it was broken before I touched it.

Oh well... Thanks for letting me vent, Party Thread. I'm going to find the nearest pub after work and drink. Heavily.

At the last place I worked, everyone seemed to own an Initech mug. You'd have thought that was the name of the company

I am my own boss, so I have nobody to bitch about except myself when things are all screwed up. It sucks!! There are plenty of times that I'd like to pass the buck.

Oh geez, that movie brings back memories. My father cries at that movie. Yes. A grown man cries at Uncle Buck.
That was my xmas present to him last year.
