how many changes of scene do you have? hehe.. and it looks like fun getting the madwoman's costume, as well as her friends, together!

( long ago and far away, I was stage manager for a few years in high school, lol, it was nerve wracking but a lot of fun!)
There is one scene change, but it is big >.< I am a senior in highschool and this is part of my Senior Project. I will have to stage-manage another play next month and going until may...but I love it...my only gripe is when someone is delivering a line wrong...xD

hehe, yeah.. I can see that.. you're one up on me tho... I was great as stage manager, but way too shy to act.. getting up in front of a lot of people had my stomach VERY displeased, lol! The fact that you're not dealing with that is an excellent thing.. I'm glad you're doing this for a few shows.. personally I think you get more in touch with the whole story line and feel of the play this way!

How long do you have to do the scene change? from what I read, it does look like it would be massive.. *fingers crossed that it doesn't come til the second half!*

We have 15 minutes. It comes during intermission!

As for stage fright, I used to get it BAD! But then one show, it just disappeared. Can't explain it. I am just comfortable on stage. And I agree, you get a lot better sense of the play while stage-managing. I don't mean to sound conceited, but I often get the lead roles, which prevents me from actually seeing any of the play. Now, however, I get to see the whole thing!

Hehe.. you don't sound conceited.. you sound like someone who's realizing it's all a team effot! Hmm.. I wonder what happened to make it disappear? Good thing it did, tho.. you'll be able to go a lot farther without it tying you down!

Thank god it's during intermission tho.. at least one part of this works in your behalf!

The problem is getting my lazy-ass tech crew to get their behinds in motion. I am good at cracking the whip ;)
