Ms. Divine~ Autumn, I understand your being upset. I understand very well. I felt that way years ago, myself. I promise that our angels are here to protect us. We have four who always guard our gates. For centuries, HoO followers have been invoking angel presences.
Please know that human sacrifice hasn't been practiced since the late 15th Century here. That room is simply there to remind us to avoid the horrors of our past. When John Dee and Sir Edward Kelly came to teach us the language of the angels, they fled to the underground tunnels here to avoid prosecution for magic.
After that, we changed from a fear based culture to a love based one. I hope you will soon be able to embrace the love.
