The only time I'd had to deal with "transferring" to a different state (from Illinois to where I am now) I pretty much ended up leaving everything behind and starting from scratch...

I tried to have what I had shipped out here, but the people that I had holding my property was very untrustworthy...
At least I got to enjoy the pool and hot tub over the weekend while all my friend in Ohio had to shovel snow

That sucks! At one point in my life, something like that wouldn't have been too terrible. But now I've collected quite a bit of stuff, which wouldn't be a real loss, except quite a bit of it has sentimental value.

Some of the stuff I had to leave behind did have sentimental value. They had to be left behind because they didn't have much practical use and I wouldn't have any place to really store them, properly...

Sadly, most of the ties that I had to my mother are gone. My aunts and uncles have a lot of it, but they've made it quite clear that they don't want me around and couldn't care less if I ever spoke to them, again...

Sorry to hear it :( It's sad when family is like that... I mean, they're *supposed* to be family... Though I'm not particularly close to anyone in my family since my dad died, we're still on speaking terms with each other for now. The only person I feel that way about it my biological father. Actually, I'd be happier if I never have to speak to him again.

Oh well.. Enough with the sad talk ;) There are always friends. And though those may be few and far between IRL, I have plenty of 'em here! :D

Pick the poison, yuki, 'cause I'm always up to trying about anything once :)

BTW, I know that you explained that "yuki" is a term of endearment when used as a suffix, much like "-san." I hope it doesn't lose anything when I use it stand-alone :)

It's okay. 'mute. It shouldn't lose any meaning.

As for picking my poisong... I have to get to work in a few hours so I don't want to get too messed up.

Good to know, yuki. Didn't know if I was inadvertently being offensive or not, though I'm sure you would have mentioned it by now

I'll take a rain check on the drink, then, since I'm already at work as well

I have nothing against drinking before you're 21, but with the industry I work in, it might be a bit embarrassing to get caught contributing ;)
