I just love being cornered by everyone I know to discuss my fertility and why I haven't yet been successful at spawning. Ya know, because that's what I need to help me want to have sex.

Eeeew....that is ill. Why do people do that?! It's always extra annoying when women do it too...they should know better.

I got asked if I'd tried different positions...etc. I'm like...I've tried for 2 years, I've come to terms with this...why can't you? Positions? Is that any of their business? I also hate hearing "I've never had trouble getting pregnant. Maybe you are trying too hard." WTF? Dude, we just have sex whenever we want...what the hell???

Yeah, like it's some kind of elusive mystery....gee...how does one get pregnant..I can't seem to figure it out. Oh, that's where it goes?! Now I get it.

edit- Trying too hard?? What..like having more sex negates all legitimate baby making sex..does it start to cancel itself out at a certain level?

I'm going to start asking if they'd like to f**k myhusband and be my surrogate if they are so concerned.

I get the "trying too hard", "thinking about it too much" and "stop thinking about it" things a lot. I'm not really "trying" anymore, even. I gave that up after 2 years of it that were stressful as hell. I don't think about babies when I'm having sex, either. Maybe they are thinking about us having sex, too much, haha.

Either way, that's pretty intrusive and obnoxious. Kill.

That's what I think, too. Everyone will know I'm pregnant when they see my belly out there. I've decided I'm only telling my mom and my sister, since they don't give me shit. Ah...venting helps so much. Now...I'm off to home world. oi...

A. Where the hell were you all day!?!?!
B. I'd post a kissy smiley, but Spacie would kick my ass
C. Tell all those Nosy Nellies to place their heads where the sun don't shine
D. If you don't tell me when you get preggers, I'll kick your ass!!

I'm with you Kas - my wife and I have been getting that crap for years. And we have tried all kinds of stuff (charting her temperature, plotting cycles, charting my temperature). We figure that it will happen when it will happen if it's supposed to happen. I just wish everyone else we know would get a clue  and just drop it already.

I saw Lily Allen live last night, it was good, not great, she is better on CD than live, but still pretty funny, drinking, smoking, joking and cursing on stage between numbers. She had a live band instead of the samples she uses on CD. The high point was when she had one of the original members of The Specials, the British Ska band of the 80's, who is living in Seattle now, on stage to do a Specials song with her. Her music has a lot of Ska and Calypso elements in it, so it totally fit.
