Will it include deleted scenes and outtakes and behind-the-scenes stuff? Please!

I wonder if it is even possible to make money off of an ARG, it seems to me that if you were to get the critical mass of viewers/participants to provide the revenue, it would make the game impossible to play. If instead of Maddy having twenty or so online "friends" she had ten thousand, how would you conduct IRC chats or coodinate drops, keep track of contributions to puzzle solving, etc.

Good question... but I think I think Jeromy has an idea... he may just be the man for the job.

If you make it, they will buy it...

Rob,

A game of that level of popularity would have to be sophisticated in it's solutions. I hope that these are the kinds of problems we have to deal with.

Jeromy wrote:Yes. In order to obtain revenue from Revver, the viewer has to watch the video in its entirety AND THEN click on the ad. However, they don't allow a bunch of repeat clicks from the same IP. so..
Augh, all this time I thought if I saw the ad that that would be enough, I didn't realize I had to CLICK on the stupid thing.

/me is slow

Guess this gives me an excuse to rewatch all the videos. ;)

Thank you so much for the video responses and everything; I never got involved with playing the ARG (just watched the videos and read the forums, mainly) but what happened to Maddy makes me want to get more involved... I guess I didn't realize before how much a character's actions/fate is connected to the people participating in the ARG.

Jeromy,
I wanted to say how much I enjoyed the whole Maddison experience. It really has been amazing.
Secondly, your response videos have really made my day. This was a great idea, and you are a fun guy to watch on camera.
I hope we see more soon!
~Glass

P.S. I'm not disappointed that it was you in the chat. :D

aaaaaaaaaaah i havent read the whole thread but I can't..ugh...we did so much!

Jeromy remember, you gave us 15 days DURING FINALS to work on this. It's brilliant and I love you and this game. Investors or the Creators didnt have time to really...discover it. In my opinion anyway.

You're awesome though. Good luck with all that.

Maddison Atkins was more all over the place then you think. She was mentioned quite a bit in the New Girl section of the forums, which I would think The Creators would've checked (to see the fans response) or something like that, and probably would've noticed Maddison Atkins and might've atleast given it a little peek. But whatever... if they didn't notice it then, maybe the 5 billion signatures that have "RIP maddison" will tip 'em off. lol.

The nod to Maddy in the last NikkiB video is a pretty good indication that it was noticed.

Off topic, but seriously: Jeromy could've been in Anchorman.

Hot stuff right there.

And in my next post, I feel sad that we could've saved her (maybe). And very, very curious about what we missed.

And (yes, another and!) I'm loving watching Jeromy in these vids. If you're there, just know that I think you're fabulous and that you did an absolutely freaking awesome job with the ARG -- even if I was incredibly pissed off at how the ending went down. Jeromy, were you in IRC to see the reactions from everyone when the final video was released? It was pretty (understatement of the year) crazy in there. :D

Hugs from the land down under - yes, we came from everywhere to play! \:D/

omg!!!! GREAT QUESTION!!!! JER! were you lurking after the last vid was posted to see our reactions?! I kept trying to figure out who could be you but never really got anywhere - part of me didn't want to know, to be honest...but now i do! because the reaction was crazy. The absolute best was the night of the 25th when Maddison finally TIMED OUT and we all PHREAK'D the f**k OUT.

hilarity, in hindsight.

OMG Marla, that was so freaky when Maddison timed out -- but you're right, now it's incredibly hilarious to remember our reactions!

An exerpt of what we all said was posted in one of the Maddison threads, wasn't it?
