You make perfect sense.
I read up on that theory after I saw Chivalrous' link. It's interesting. I have to admit that I don't have the bio-science background to fully understand.
That theory isn't really widely believed because the earth was such a harsh environment during the initial formation of life.
However, I guess the Order might be using the theory as a basis to create a new RNA based life form.

This has all been very fascinating to read. I had assumed that being a virgin as well as trait positive were requirements for the ceremony. Now, I am seeing it differently. It's so odd that Bree might have taken action out of the control of the Order with Jonas, only to potentially run back into their control. Of course, at this point, we don't know what REALLY happened!

Right. I'm not saying I fully understand or believe the theory is true either. Bree's father was a scientist. Maybe, as he researched science, he came to realize that the theory is probably not true, and that is when he decided to make Bree "trait negative." The human race has witnessed thousands of times the blindness that comes alongside fanaticism. The Order, or the Hymn of One fanatics, whatever they are, may be blinded by their obsession with the "religion" or theory or secret society or whatever the hell they are. Know what I mean? (Having trouble explaining my thoughts here lol)

Another thing is the infinity symbol. Infinity basically goes alongside the concept of immortality, as they both mean the lack of termination or an end. The infinity symbol is the symbol of the company that provides the Order with Epogen and its drugs, as far as we know. It can also be seen on the site of the Wyman Foundation.
