That's true. But I suppose they don't want to run the risk of alienating any viewers by killing of their favourite characters.

I didn't watch the X Files after Mulder left...

they made evil and killed gemma... i started watching after this so i dunno if she was ever someone's favorite character... but they're not afraid of killing someone we know well.
i would love to see jules die though... a very bloody death....
