Ziola, I'm fairly certain that this is the work of The Hat and its cronies. Normally, I'd be the first person offering to break kneecaps to avenge Lad, but in this situation, I'm just not sure I'd have the upper hand (not to mention The Hat's distinct lack of kneecaps).

Tilt, its nothing a good trip in the dishwasher won't fix. We can and will eliminate its evil and sadistic tendencies.

So the Hat has set my dishwasher on fire, and killed the household cat. Let's not piss him off any more

Note to self: Don't be standing next to Ziola when The Hat comes down.

Idiots...
The Hat <typed in appropriately awed tone> obviously does not have highly intelligent minion-types...
Not only the leaving behind of the RayBans and car stereo...but why in the world would one steal an ASHTRAY????? This has me seriously scratching my head!

It must be a warning, chershaytoute, like other organized crime rings leave to let someone know they're pushing the limits of what's acceptable. What is the most precious possession Lad has relating to our mission? His car, of course. And what does The Hat target? I think you see where I'm going with this.
But regarding the choice of stolen items: I can't think of a use the aforementioned headwear would have for sunglasses...but I'm pretty sure it's a smokin' Hat.

I think they may have been trying to find a sample of ladron121's DNA. Certainly, there would be some of his cells on the cigarette butts in the ashtray, and also on the CD's.

I think they were looking for fingerprints on the CD's.

I do have another in the works. I'm gonna put this idea in the pipeline, tho.
