No, Sam and Brother aren't the same person. Gemma met Brother later in life.

I never said it was Brother.. I was talking about Sam. And Bree's parents only did that when he wouldn't do them favors such as filming their stupid camp play. They only trusted him to take care of her when they were taken by the Order...

I know exactly what you mean about the tenses. I've encountered the same problem, but it's really diffcult to explain.
It's like you're talking about what someone said in past tense (you), but then the quote is in present tense, and it becomes confusing to the reader.
Balmung, maybe you understand what Nieriel was trying to say now. If not, I give up.

Ok so if the creators said there a chance Gemma might come back (sweet!) then she most likely is not dead. Wether she's evil or not is another can of worms.
