Who knows if it's actually important or not. It's weird. Honestly, this show is like my boyfriend. I might bitch about it, and damned if I can understand it, and it might fustrate the shit out of me, but I cant help but love it.Cuddlebunni wrote:When she smiles, she conveys this really "sweet" person image. Like motherly or something.. But with a hidden little twinge of evil lurking inside. Its creepy.
Oh and interesting about the "time" reference stuff.
Lost, I can't quit you.

The new time DOES suck. Sometimes my boyfriend has to work the next day (rotating 12 hour schedule) so he's gotta go to bed directly as it's over and we've got a loft style apartment so I cant type on the computer about how cool the episode was. It makes me sad.charliebrown wrote:I hate the new time though! And the long wait till the next episode!

The next day after a new episode is always the worse cause we gotta wait so damn long until the next one.

Clancy Brown if f*cking hot. I have loved him since Highlander. He is a BEAUTIFUL speciman. Just had to throw that in there.djmadscribbler wrote:He played Kelvin in Lost (the CIA guy who Sayeed did work with and he was on the island)Cuddlebunni wrote:Okay dumbass alert.

Heh. Brother Justin was great. That character ranks with Bruno from Epitafios as one of the most interesting and complex baddies of recent memory.djmadscribbler wrote:I really like him as the reverend in Carnivale. Did you see that? He was pretty spooky!Mirage wrote: Kelvin(Clancy Brown)? Is AWESOME.![]()
I watched and recorded Carnivale. I bought the DVDs and watched the series again. It was one of the few shows to inspire my loyalty in the past few years.
I imagine some Lost fans feel a similar love...
I watch Lost sometimes, but I can't get into it. I watched a chunk of the first season, and it left me cold. I tune into it sometimes, and my heart doesn't warm to the narrative. It strikes me as too much of a tease. Granted, the writers now claim that they've got an ending in mind and know how they intend to arrive at it. They say they don't want the show to live past its prime as certain other shows did. I wish they'd made some of the decisions in advance; maybe they'd have kept me as a regular viewer.
That's not a knock against the show's fans. It's just my reaction. I should love the program. It deals with themes of interest to me. But I just don't react positively to the series.
That being said, I still watch it when I'm not busy with something else, and I can't help but keep up with the plot, as a lot of people tell me the details of every episode in offline, face-to-face conversations. Some conversations begin as discussions of something completely unrelated to Lost, but the show invariably serves as an illustration of some point or other, so the conversation becomes an opportunity for me to hear about The Others, Eko's demise, etc.
Bless watercooler shows. You can keep up with the story by listening to enthusiastic fans.

Heroes is a little more interesting to me than Lost, but I'm still undecided on that one.
Sorry for intruding. Resume the conversation, and pretend I never wrote a word.
