McPhee is cute, but not a good actress.
I'm going to be honest, I'm not digging the idea of them getting someone from American Idol to guest star. I'm cool with the idea of the creators getting fans involved with the vids and the story, but it would be a lot cooler if they would get someone who the general public isn't familiar with. I think they should have cast a regular fan. I don't know, it just seems icky what they did, and I hope that they don't continue down that path in the future. One of the things I like most about the series is its independent feel, and I would hate to see that quality dissapear. On the other hand, I guess drawing in more viewers gives them more money so they can keep it going. I don't know. I'm just throwing my confused two cents out there.

You're probably right. Someone famous who has no link to the fan base might be a bad choice.
Check this out: none of us here (with the exception of a very few, such as Josh) go by our real names. How do you know she isn't among us? I know it doesn't sound likely for a person who is trying to make a career in the entertainment industry to assume a
nom de plume on a board like this. How else could they fit in?
I think she's on here. In fact, how do the rest of us know you aren't her?

Relax guys, I am sure she had a purpose in the plot but her real purpose was to help gain some more viewers. I still think that this was a GREAT move on the part of the Creators and it was cool that she wanted to be involved.
It was also smart of the Creators to post the vid in the middle of the night so that there we be a more gradual rush on the servers throughout today, they're starting to figure out some of the tech stuff

. Good move.
Of course, the bowling alley site was no accident (yet another bowling reference...) so I would keep the line of inquiry headed in that direction.
I think the editing was well done in this one and they are getting used to shooting in a pseudo-vlog format. Anytime the offerings seem to be "realistic" is great with me, that was the impetus for the series and it just always seems like it comes off better when this illusion of reality is maintained.
All in all, I liked it and I think it will set some things in motion down the road.
Oh, and DB/Yousef: Yay Beer!

I loved this video!!
Ok, her acting wasn't that great, but Yousef isn't that good at acting either, it just isn't important!

Meh. Maybe at some points it wont' be all about cameos and will be something where we actually get substance or some answers.

I rather enjoyed this new mysterious gal. Since most press accounts say that the role of this gal was already planned, I didn't mind seeing McPhee in the video at all. I felt McPhee's performance was good considering she had only a few lines as a random girl from a bowling bar. I also like that she is a fan.
For me this additional character injected an interesting twist into the story. By mentioning Daniel's drunken ramblings about "some girl" who had done him wrong, his drunk-mind-speaking-a-sober-heart about the order and watchers and the reasonable question ("Do you guys tape everything?), this video was refreshing for me. I also liked Bree's responses to Daniel's behavior.
Someone mentioned earlier that it was dangerous for them to bring this stranger home to Jonas's house. I feel the opposite way. The mystery McPhee character should have been the nervous one, getting into a car with a drunken guy and another guy with a video camera just screams danger.

She lives with two blonds. I think that is significant.

Okay, that was better than I thought it would be. KM wasn't putting in an oscar worthy performance, but it was good, and I liked seeing someone random involved with our three amigos.
On a completely random note, I totally had that same exact stuffed dog when I was a kid. In fact, I think one of my kids still has it somewhere. I'm going to see if I can dig it up.
And it's nice to see one of them doing something completely realistic. Nothing like some nice underage, I-got-my-heart-broken drinking in a bowling alley.

I agree, Evan. GREAT vid. So funny when she says "He got a great imagination" ^^
I wish we could get the girl's name.

How old is DanielBeast?
If he went to the bowling alley and got drunk...either someone bought him beer, he has a fake ID, or he is over 21. O.oa
I think the purpose of this was to show Bree that Daniel could be with someone else...he isn't going to wait around for her forever. I'm sure even by Bree's wording, describing her as 'some random girl', shows Bree's jealousy.
