That is just the beginning...I really hope the Creators are tame with this area compared to what I've read. It's sickening.

I imagine they are put in another role. Gemma being one of the rejected ones might be right....now her job was to bring in Bree, she failed, and she died.breewithcrackers wrote:i wonder what happens to the girls who aren't chosen for the ceremony...

poor gemma.. a failure at life.
luminous suggested in the video section that the characteristics needed are those that make up a good Free Will.
like intelligence, leadership, curiosity, intellect, purity, etc.
they would all tie in to Bree's 'Free Will' that would (presumably) lead her to the ceremony and a very high ranking within the Order.
but someone........daniel.......got in their way

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstrual_disorderAmenorrhea is the absence of a menstrual period in a woman of reproductive age. Physiologic states of amenorrhoea are seen during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding). Outside of the reproductive years there is absence of menses during childhood and after menopause.

I'm thinking if the menstrual cycles was part of it, they'd give her something to keep that from occurring. With all the meds, they obviously aren't adverse to using synthetic means to accomplish their objectives.

I know, but maybe one characteristic they need has to do with a natural problem with menstruation.
Has anyone looked into the lazy eye thing? We have to look back at every characteristic we know Bree has.

Another Characteristic: An Outcasting Abnormality.
Having something that would outcast you from society might be important and is definitely most prominent and obvious by puberty. Bree's lazy eye could've outcasted her, but it was fixed. Could Cassie have started the rumor that she'd been screwing with the teacher to keep her in the Order? Maybe Cassie wanted companionship in the Order and realized that she was beginning to lack this characteristic once Bree had stopped acting smart.

I think those who think her suitableness for the ceremony has to do with her lack of interest in sex are right on the mark.
Contrast Bree with Gemma who was getting crushes on boys at a very young age. You can see why Bree would be suitable for the ceremony and not Gemma.
Allowing Daniel to spend all that time in Bree's room with the door closed was part of the test to see if she was suitable for the ceremony. Remember, OPAPHID had cameras in Bree and Daniel's room the whole time. They would know if there was any flirting or sex going on at least in the bedrooms. They were able to observe the dynamic between the two. It was one way that they were able to determine that Bree was the one for the ceremony. That was one reason why her sneaking out so upset her dad. It took her out of the petri dish where OP could observe her.
When she sneaks out the objection isn't "We were worried about you. We need to know where you are at all times. Anything could have happened." It's "You have violated your purity bond". Thus possibly making her unsuitable for the ceremony.

I think Bree still doesn't know the half of it. Mrs. Bree is higher up in the order than her hubby was, so she might know a little more of the truth., though still not all of it. I'm standing pat on the MPD theory, and I haven't given up on genetic engineering yet either. The lazy eye might be one of the indicators the Order looks for, the two halves of the brain not hooking up quite properly.

I'm only afraid of what I haven't imagined.
