This theory is becoming more and more popular, I've seen it in a couple threads here and "re-started" the conversation over at the cove.

Has it now been "cannon-ized" after being mentioned by Ms. Holly?

I don't believe she has the gravitas to elevate this theory to an "Artillery Piece". The theory is WAY old and the plotline has weaved and jagged quite a bit since then... But who knows.

Although if it was the "big surprise" of the plot, at one time, then I doubt they would pursue it now if everyone was discussing it to such length. Mesh is MUCH smarter than that... I think he has much bigger surprises up his sleeve.

anyone seen that movie about the psycho killer who had multiple personalities and one of them was a mass murder so he had to have all of his personalities meet up (in his mind) and figure out which one was the killer....I cant remember the title but it's a lil creepy

I believe Identity is the one you're looking for. It was a pretty interesting movie, I think, but I don't know if I'd call it creepy. The trailers for it made it look a lot creepier than it turned out to be.

I always wondered about it, now I feel like i have enough evidence to say that Cassie is imaginary.

The creators always surprise me though, so i'm not putting too much stock in this.

i definately thing that this theory could be 100% true.

its not split personality because those people often do nor remember episodes. Schizo makes sense, but I believe that it is more of an imaginary friend than anything.

Yeah I'm going to go with the notion that Cassie is not Bree's alter-ego, but her imaginary friend from long ago. Yeah I like that idea.

Any explaination why OpAphid constantly brought her up? ...Or was that in response to the CIW vids?

1. As a psychnerd/psychmajor, I have to really object to "schizophrenia=dissociative identity disorder (mult-personality disorder)" comments. They are NOT related. At all. Schizophrenia is a very real, very serious neurological disease that doesn't involve "alternate personalities" (hint: go look up the symptoms) and DID is a controversial disorder that might not actually exist, and it it did, occurs *extremely* rarely.

2. The Alternate Personality theory is hanging dangerously close to Multi-Personality Disorder due to Satanic Ritual Abuse (see: Late 80s).

2. Plotwise, please no. Since one of the Creators has a medical background, I dearly hope that includes enough psych sense not to insert cliched and hackneyed soap opera psychobabble plot devices into what is turning out to be a marvelous plot.

3. I stand by my assertion that itscassie is a horrid and desperate fanfic that is trying really hard to insert itself into the plot, but because it's shoddy and unclever the Creators won't let it. Boo hoo.

ive thought cassie was a part of bree since the swimming vid. and ive always had suspicion that cassie is why she was acting so strange in "in the park."

at the end she took a pill and was acting much more like bree.

Bree says Cassie made the phone calls, yet bree got in trouble for it, and she never mentions her parents calling Cassies parents and Cassie getting in trouble. She does say she stopped talking to Cassie at that point.

Daniel is Brees best friend, yet has no idea who Brees other best friend, Cassie is. Weird? I think so. Daniel is very observant, I think he wold notice this girl that Bree hung out with so much.

Cassies was afraid of Brees religion, Freaked out by it. So she had to go away. It seems like a possibility that Bree created Cassie in her mind to voice her concerns about the religion, and then when her parents convinced her not to question the order or their beliefs Cassie had to go away. Bree had to stop feeling that way.

What are your thoughts on this?

something wierd i just noticed -

cassies last video was about sneaking out.
bree just snuck out in the latest video.

UH OHHH.

That is kinda weird. Though itscassie's last video was four days ago, and Bree's was a few hours ago...

Then again... I still have yet to really look at Bree's new vid...
