I don't think that Amanda posted the truth in order to guilt trip everyone who posted criticism. If people take it as a lesson in being a little less brutal, there's no harm in that, but I think the point was to take the heat off of Shannon. She was a regular kid making a fan vid, and it wasn't her final decision to post it as canon. We shouldn't feel compelled to apologize or get defensive. We should just lay off the nice kid who got thrust into internet stardom.
