BA: Good luck with those sushi rolls!

I'm proud of ya, hun!
Thanks! I've been dying for some sushi...I hope what I make will satify my wants! I couldn't get my hands on rice vinegar, so I found a recipe to make that too! haha

No offence to yuki, but I have issues with seafood

Though if I were to meet him IRL, I would at least try it. Who knows, my issues may be more with particular types of fish

I'm sure it's something simple... Did you think to disable the "Annoy Mirage" setting?
LOL!

No, I must've forgotten that one.

Why do I feel like my mom and stepdad when they got their DVD player and had to call me over to help them work it?
My wife does all of the holiday cooking... She swears she loves my cooking, but that's only because she loves me... I'm a lousy cook

Normally, she has a few side dishes that she relies on during the holidays. But recently, she's gotten tired of doing the same sides every holiday and has started to try new stuff off of some of the recipe sites out there. She never goes straight off the recipe, but everything has been excellent so far

We've had a couple different friends comment at different times that she needs to start a restaurant, she's that good

(and it explains my weight gain since getting married

)

Ha! I know what things that he cooks to compliment and what things NOT to compliment.

That's awesome--and more reason why I just need to pop in one day and say, "Hi, I talk to your husband on the computer, will you feed me?

" She MIGHT react in another way, though.
Starting a restaurant--any business for that matter--is hard work, but if you've got an awsome product, it's much easier. Would she ever be interested in something like that?

I'm ALWAYS here. *rolls eyes at her lack of a life*....

But just in case I'm not, you can always rant and I'll read it later, or you can PM me your rant.
My PM box has been sadly empty lately. It's lonely. Wont you make it's day?

Sushi doesn't alll have to do with seafood, actually.
Like for example, I'm going to make the rice rolls with Cucumber...and then try a roll with chicken and teriyaki sauce...=P

Hehe... Ya always gotta look for those simple settings

I'm sure you'll figure it out
I can see it now. A bunch of people from here dropping in to have my wife cook for them. Good thing I finally took that terrasever aerial photograph of my house off of my website
I know what ya mean about starting a business. I left one of my previous employers to start a computer consulting business. At the time (like currently), we were a one-income family. I made enough to pay the bills, but it was a bit stressful. Most of my work came over two or three days a month, usually as all my bills were coming due

It wasn't a lifestyle that I wanted to keep, so I went to work for someone else again... It might be different if it were a second income, though...

oh! the kit just explains how to do it. It came with the stuff to make it as in the stuff --> rolling mat, chop sticks, instructional book...stuff like that.
I got it from Barnes and Noble for Christmas.
I bought enough nori to make A LOT though! lol Considering 6 rolls per sheet...I think I have like 15 sheets.

Gah!!! I'm getting backlogged!
'mute: thanks for saying you'll try.. I know you got issues with seafood and stuff.
BA-chan: Thanks for explaining it before I could get to it... but let me add a pretty important part...
The term "sushi" actually refers to the rice, not what's put in it or on top of it. The fish, served by itself (with the rice on the side) is called sashimi. For those wary about eating raw fish: a lot of the time the seafood placed on top is cooked/prepared at least a little... Like shrimp or crab... Also, like BA stated, it isn't always fish, either. sometimes it can just be a veggie roll or with tamago (egg)...
I think most people are turned off from sushi because they really don't know what it is. I'd like to help people learn about it. It would be my job as a sushi chef to do so.
Okay, back to the post...
Thanks for "having my back" everybody. Sorry if I worried you, Mirage.
