White Wolf is actually the name of the gaming company that makes the Vampire RPGs. I don't know what's up with the website. I've never really checked it out, but White Wolf
has released more games than the "Vampire" series.
Then again, you probably already knew all that... I don't know much about the games, these days. I used to play them "back in the day" but not really since my mom died and I had to learn to live by myself, about 7 years ago...
Oh I know, I played them all--Vampire, Werewolf, Wraith, Mage, and Changeling. What I'm saying is there was some big calamity in the World of Darkness and now the clans are all different and stuff. It's so odd.
I'm sorry to hear about your mom, Kage. *hugs*

Oh, okay. I kinda knew that you did, but I just didn't know, y'know...
I'm sorry to hear about your mom, Kage. *hugs*
Thanks, but I've had enough time to cope with it... I think.

I SWEAR that I wont jack this thread on a sadder subject. Really truely.
But I know exactly how you feel--my dad died when I was a kid, and I don't think it's something you ever really get over. Like you said, you learn to cope--you learn to live with it, but you never really get over it.
BACK on a happier note--if not slightly morbid---:D
I was a huge V:TM player back in the day. I spent so much money on those damn books---which weren't cheap at ALL.

Yeah, I know about the pitfalls of RPGs. I can't even remember all of the books I used to buy when I was a "hardcore" gamer... It definitely wasn't pretty.

I was uhm...19? when I decided to finally do away with them. Me and a couple of friends and their families had a big ol' yard sale. I was expecting to make good money--it was atleast 300-350 worth of books (and that wasn't all of them--an ex-fling took the rest of them, but I digress

), so I was planning to sell the whole lot for 150-200. At one point I went out with a co-worker to get coffees for everyone and when I got back my friend's husband told me all excited about how he sold my books for me--for 50 bucks. Needless to say, I wasn't thrilled.

Aww... They prolly got sold to some punk kid, too...
I never sold off all my books, though I should have... Instead I passed them on to my friends who still played at the time. I don't know if any of them still play, now. I haven't heard from any of them since college.

Probably. Some little Goth kid who thinks that they ARE a vampire or something. Bleh.
That was a good turn, giving them away. If I had any friends that played that's where they would have gone. I have the bad luck, however, of getting rid of stuff as a kid that I wish I kept as an adult.

Some of the books were pretty old, and though I tried to keep them in good shape, a couple of them were being held together by tape...
I really don't know what I would have done with them if I hadn't had friends to pass them off to.
