Actually, it looks a lot more like a backpack for a hiker's hydration system. That thing in the middle looks like a strap with a plastic squeeze buckle (not sure what the technical term is, but that's how it works).

that thing that looks nothing like a camera reminds me of the birdhouse habitat things they have all over our nature preserve here at work.

These references that aideen's pointing out have been used in past videos, or by others who are connected with the storyline somehow, whether they are canon or not.
The whole "TOO SLOW. I DON'T PLAY CARDS." bit is from cassieiswatching. This was posted as soon as she quit posting anymore of her videos. As for the others, I'd reference them as well but. I forgot exactly where they were from.
Oh, and Nikki B. also talked about slurpees as well. And how the orange slurpees were connected with the order.

Oh, I know. I was just clearing that up for Languorous Lass xD
But either...
All this referencing could either mean that there's something we have to look into from the past or, maybe... it could be hints to try and bring certain connections together? Like the order with certain people?
But I doubt the cards have anything to do with cassieiswatching, or cassie in general because CIW isn't canon...

The Vernal Equinox/Spring Equinox is March 21 this year.
And, depending on who's following it the dates -- is not always considered "New Years". A significant amount of pagans consider Samhain (Oct. 31) as their New Years.
(Of course this has had some Thelema influences and I don't know much about that philosophy.)

The in-story references to orange slurpees were a jokey shout-out to the forum -- not a serious inclusion. Check
the LGPedia. And the "Stand Up . . ." video was Jessica Rose participating in a political campaign, not a canon vid. As you yourself acknowledge, the other references were to non-canon vids as well.

Those references are simply for entertainment purposes if you ask me; sort of like an inside joke.
