People seem upset that by knowing that Katherine is going to be on the show that they know that someone is going to leave the house.
Perhaps Katherine comes to the house - maybe she is the maid - someone has to clean up after the Bro and D-Bone - they don't have time with all the Foosball and HIGH FIVEin goin on.
Or maybe she is the pizza girl...those boys gotta build up a serious hunger working out all day, spinning those little men around on their poles...smacking the ball.....scoring...

Wish I weren't involved with something that was associated with AI. I'm not terribly picky, mind you, but find this lame, lame lame. I would love to love her, but it is an obvious grab for publicity. Yes, I know they need money, have given them some myself, but expected that if they asked me for money they wouldn't get it from Simon Cowell ( oh he owns her and you know it)....CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK?

Let be perfectly clear....I don't care one way or another
As Jersely Johnny pointed out it is an old ratings grabber technique.
It is certainly more honest than slipping a misleading frame in to the middle of an episode to garner more fans at You Tube
However, according to jumptheshark.com and my own TV experience guest stars are commonly associated witht the death of a series.
I'm just sayin...

Dunno about the rest of the lassies way back when, but I NEVER tuned in to Scooby Doo just to catch the likes of Phyllis Diller . . . gads!
Um, otherwise -- I second the motion to run Jersey Johnny for Mayor of Whoville.
Woo-WHO!
Of course that is if he can keep himself out of jail, or the monastery or wherever else it is he disappears to, long enough for buttons & banners to be printed, polls to be filled, & votes to be tallied.
Regarding the upcoming "guest star":
I say ANYTHING NEW that mixes up what is expected of this series, the characters, & its creators HAS TO BE a good thing.
Didn't most of us become fans in the first place because we never knew what was around the next corner? Today, it's a guest star, WHO KNOWS what it could be tommorrow? That's fresh, that's interesting, that's even exciting.
Bloom & Grow, Bloom & Grow . . .

I still think that they are going to Dare Daniel or Jonas to go talk to her. lol.
I mean the vid is going to be like 1 min and a half long...she won't be in there forever. Why complain?

nobackspacebutton, I know your question was meant to be rhetorical, however, I have the urge to answer it: It is easy to complain
(I should know as a complainer in life, at times).
Criticizing is slightly different, however, as it takes a bit more work to formulate a point to at which to express one's criticism.
Homer Simpson once responded to Marge's concern that "it's easy to criticize" by saying, "And fun, too." I believe
Homer says it all.
I know I have added nothing to this thread with this post, and I am constatntly looking for ways to inject the wisdom of
The Simpsons into the lives of others.
Sorry, all.

Wow some of you people have no faith in the Creators. For them to pull off a celebrity guest star they would have to do it in such a way that when the viewer watches it they forget they are seeing Katharine McPhee.
It's probably something as harmless as Bree bumping into a stranger and the stranger offering some sage advice.
Secondly- in terms of business. A.I. had 33 million viewers for it's premiere. You'd imagine at some point Katharine McPhee would be on to promote her album. All they have to do is ask "so what other projects have you done since you were runner up last year?" In fact that's a likely question for any press she does. You can't buy that kind of exposure in a demographic similar to your own.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??
This is great news for the series! Don't you understand that in order for this show to survive it needs to get publicity sometimes?
She's "guest-starring" in a non-recurring role, do you honestly not know what that means? Are you illiterate? It means that she'll play a character who appears in the show only once.
I know but who knows what this could open up. They might do things like this in the future.

You make some good points. Personally, I am looking forward to tomorrow to see what this turn of events brings.
(I still want William Hung to guest star and perhaps have his music featured in a video. I am not ashamed of this desire, so I will not fight this feeling. I simply cannot help how I feel.)
