not sure that i actually buy this myself - after all, they could have nabbed him while he was home - but i definitely expected to see this theory fleshed out a little more.
I've begged to the Creators before PLEASE don't let this be another Wicker Man!!

Me too, and I'm not so sure it's a good kind of confused. They can't say they trust us, the viewers, and then pull bait and switch routines and all that.

I need to go review the storyline for Wicker Man. I think it came out when I was working in a movie theater years ago (maybe not), but I can't remember it. *goes off to IMDB*
Edit: Hmm... 1973. Nope, that's a bit before my time.

It was remade with Nicholas Cage this year....same premise though.

However, this theory is lacking the explanation as to why Daniel was not taken as well.
Easy: the Order doesn't want Daniel. It only wants Bree.

I think the reason this is not a theory people are discussing is because it seems to be completely illogical; Bree
wanted daniel at Jonas'...she said so herself, so saying she would split when he came is completely without reason. I mean, I hate to say it but I think you are just reaching for a theory there.
well it wasn't all that long ago that many people thought bree's overeagerness to go to jonas's and later insistence that daniel join her there was part of a plan to lure daniel into some sort of trap. so actually, working with that theory, bree
wanting daniel there is perfectly logical. as is her sudden departure (having fulfilled her end of the bargain?) after daniel's arrival.
honestly, it's not my theory... so i'm not reaching for anything. i was just surprised to see that this idea had been abandoned pretty much altogether.

I somewhat doubt that Bree wanted Daniel there with Jonas for a reason other than she missed him. She is a deep thinker, but she didn't know about her Dad's message during that time yet. She thought Daniel would be safer with her and Jonas, that I can see. So maybe she saw that Jonas IS a good guy--so she wasn't worried about leaving Daniel there with him. Either way, the most curious of all this isn't why Breel left Daniel there--but how Daniel didn't seem too concerned about her being gone.
Either A) Daniel was on the up and up and knew she was leaving. or B) Daniel isn't worried about her.
Option B is very unlikely.

I just hope they give us something soon...and something big, because I hate to see it turn into a LOST (i.e. let's bring up 45 questions and maybe kinda sorta only answer 1 question)

the original movie was pretty delicious, but the remake looked so so so bad.
if daniel gets trapped inside a gigantic effigy and burned, i'm going to be so irritated.

I disagree with you about the order not wanting Daniel...I have said before that Daniel knows too much for the order to leave him be. We know that; they put cameras in his room, ffs, they want him as much as they want Bree. This is no longer about getting Bree to do the ceremony...it is now about protecting the Order's secrets...and there are many to protect.
PS: I was adding that to all my posts simply because I wanted my Devoted Fan title (which I got!)

Basically a cop is lured by a supposed "missing girl" into a creepy community only to find out at the end that he was the target the whole time for a sacrifice.
