I agree.....the Creators put things in the vids then don't like the direction and just ignore what they don't like so we complain and this is how they explain it away (really horribly, I might add).wintermute wrote:So the Creators want it both ways? "CiW's not canon. But wait! It is! Just not the way you want it to be!" I'm sorry, but they should have THOUGHT a little more before trying to touch CiW... I mean, they've left us out in the cold *this* long. Why bother addressing CiW again at all? It's not as if the CiW fans were overrunning the boards like they were mid-October...Lurker wrote:Again, at least this way we get CiW included as canon in a manner of speaking. agreed...it did seem to bring some excitement with this video. i enjoyed it and cannot wait to see how it plays out...cause i dont have a clue to where it is headed...thejyav wrote:
Out side of that I thought this was a good video that seemed to reinject some excitement back into the series now lets hope they go somewhere with it. Also lets get Jonas and Bree on screen together. The fight between Bree and Dan before Bree went to see Jonas was some of the best stuff yet in this series. Lets get some ACTING going on instead of all monologs. I know thats alot of what the series is but it does not have to be all the series is!
So here is to hoping this is a new chapter and not a little something before we get another 2 weeks of Bree sitting around.
This is a vlog series, since when were vlogs about acting? Sure I don't want Bree to sit there and be boring, but they managed to make the first 40 episodes about "just sitting there" and they were the most entertaining things these guys ever made. In fact I think it was the 'acting' that ruined it, at least partly. I understand your point but there's no reason to equate monologues with "boring".thejyav wrote:Lets get some ACTING going on instead of all monologs.
That one really goes on tangents, huh?wintermute wrote:WTF are you talking about?!covedweller wrote:You've got some battered wife syndrome going on there.![]()

It's a code. I am assuming since we were supposed to find the phone # as well it had to be a code that WE would get.HyeMew wrote:"Go to the place where we used to talk about Feynman and Jared Diamond"?!
WTF that was LAME. I mean I love referring back to old stuff, but that was about the most blunt, blatant homage ever! Are you seriously saying Bree had a special "feynman and jared diamond talking spot"? Something about it rubbed me the wrong way, kind of as if all the smart stuff Bree knew about all sorts of random things aren't so random at all, since the things she told us actually came from her father. I don't know, I just realllly disliked that part because seriously Bree needs to be independently smart, not someone who got her two biggest "smart things" from her dad telling her.
I don't know if he *thinks* he's helping, but he's notLuv2Skydive wrote:That one really goes on tangents, huh?wintermute wrote:WTF are you talking about?!covedweller wrote:You've got some battered wife syndrome going on there.![]()

I still think that her dad might have been encouraging her to meet him at their house.covedweller wrote:It's a code. I am assuming since we were supposed to find the phone # as well it had to be a code that WE would get.
We aren't supposed to know the place I don't think, but at least it's a point of reference that doesn't sound random.
Just tell me how that assessment is wrong.wintermute wrote:I don't need you, or anyone else, telling my I have "battered wife syndrome" just because my opinion differs from theirs. So kindly piss off.covedweller wrote:You're holding out hope and love for people who created an ARG and abandoned it. They burned you once before, and now you're defending them after holding out hope they'd come back to you. Like a woman whose husband beats her, then leaves her, who holds out hope he'll come back "one day" and just makes excuses for his bad behavior. It's called "battered wife syndrome."wintermute wrote: WTF are you talking about?!

Again, the biggest f**k you to CiW fans came from the people behind CiW.

Don't forget: like covedweller said, CiW basically hijacked the Creators' own character, so now they've taken it back now that it's safe to say CiW is over. The Creators weren't the ones who made CiW. They were perfectly within the realm of their rights and the realm of good taste in not liking the direction of CiW. I wouldn't have either were I them and I would have made the same decision for much the same reasons (though I wouldn't have said "I don't want the story that dark" probably... I think I would have just said "Yeah, bad taste. Not touching that one").Luv2Skydive wrote:I agree.....the Creators put things in the vids then don't like the direction and just ignore what they don't like so we complain and this is how they explain it away (really horribly, I might add).wintermute wrote:So the Creators want it both ways?
