Oh, she can't even do polynomial longdivision, synthetic or otherwise...she just can't do math like you...How is tonite? I could use a...session...I do have a final coming up next week ;) (No really, I do xD)

you know, i really hate how everyone has to cheer after every sentence during the "State of the Union Address".

It is really irritating because I can't follow the speech.

anyway...do you really need math help?

To be honest, I can't for the life of me remember how to find the horizontal asymtope of a rational function.

f(x)=1/x. 1 over x.

as long as x is not equal to zero or undefined, the solution is never equal to zero (a fraction)

a horizontal asymptote exists at y = 0

edit cuz its actually asymptote

And that answers that...you r0xz0rz my s0x0rz!

Thanks ballsy ^^

What kind of math did you major in? Personally, like I said, I like economics, you know, not really hard and fast equations, more the creation and manipulation of equations based on real life situations. I did a regression analysis once on the prices of Gold sold on EBay for the game Guild Wars...I found that it fit a model except for when you bought 800,000 gold, then the price per 100,000 shot up $0.05 cents. I was confounded. I could find no reason for the price jump.

But, regression analysis is fun!

actuarial science.

sounds fancy, but it really just means "math major"

Did you take any courses on regression analysis?

well i took econ 101, and that was covered, but i did not take any class that dealt with that specifically.

some classes i took:

calc 1-3
linear algebra
differential equations
complex variables
statistical methods

Ah, Econ 101...I audited an Econ 101 class at the UW...LOVED IT!
