The way the Deacon and Lucy didn't pay any attention to Bree when they were getting her dad reminded me of a book I just finished. Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment which is completely different in many ways, don't get me wrong :P but the sense of the whole thing being a test, or a game, to see the characters abilities feels the same to me. Since the Order gives us the idea that the are always watching, perhaps everything Bree does is testing her. How she reacts to certain situations, information, how she can use her intelligence, blah blah. Does anyone get where I'm coming from?

Lol, also, had to add that throughtout thevid I couldn't help thinkign, where's Jonas in all this? Surely he would have noticed Daniels empty room and Brees door closed? And I got this image of Jonas in Daniels bedroom with a candlelit dinner and then this shot from John Tucker Must Die when Tucker is lying on the Coach's bed in a thong! XD

And I'm not even one of the people who reckons he's like that, so

My mind at work XP

If the next video from Bree is her all pink and blushing and rubbing her arms and looking down or to the side and being all gushy and saying that everything Dan said was true and that they're perfect for eachother and they're going to get married and have little Dee's and Braniels then they made it up to throw off the Order.

But if she's in a red hot I'm-about-to-punch-someone-or-have-already-succeeded-in-slapping-Dan rage then it really happened

:O That's brilliant! And true! i went back to watch and his face seems very 'wink wink here's a clue' rather than 'wink wink nudge nudge hifive my brothers!'

this is confusing

I dont think they had sex because Daniel wouldnt do that

But on the other hand

I think the creators would let us know if they didnt intend for it to be understood that way, and that they only made out, because this is a sensitive subject that will spark unwanted and unnecessary controversy among the more conservative fans.

OH GOD people come on! she didn't have sex! geez you really think bree's that much of a slut? Sorry uh I didn't know how to put that. Just saying that's so not like her. I would bet money they didn't (you people and your dirty minds). Cheeky monkeys! (weee that's fun to say). She kissed him>cuddle time< and then maybe 'walk of shame' because he either left and wanted to stay (oooh) or she said something like "I guess we should go to bed now" or whatever and he didn't want to go but left.

EDIT: oh wait a minute...he said he went to his bedroom in the morning? what the hell does that mean (lol)?

p.s. I still don't think they did it.

Hmm yes interesting point of view. Taking that futher, what if everything that has happened so far is a test to see how Bree reacts to different situations? maybe everyone except bree is in on it, Maybe her dad's death was just an act to make Bree think he is dead, but he really isn't.

Then at the end they all jump out and yell SURPRISE and congratulations you passed the test.

Yeah maybe not, but interesting non the less.
Anyone seen my sanity? I know I left it around here somewhere...

Wikipedia:

"People undertaking the walk of shame are understood to have spent the night at the house of a sexual partner, particularly a one night stand. Due to this they can be recognised by the fact that they are still wearing the clothes they went out in the night before, have disheveled "bed head" or "sex head" hair, and are often suffering from a hangover."

I think Daniel made it very clear that they did not have sex with one line; "It's not what you think." If they had had sex he would not have said that. I have heard 'walk of shame' used when the couple did not have sex. It can be a 'walk of shame' simply because you are sneaking back to your bedroom in yesterday's clothes the next morning and anyone seeing you is going to assume you had sex. It's a 'walk of shame' because you don't want to have to answer embarrassing questions or hear other people make cracks.

Another reason I think they didn't have sex; he's not sure what it means for their friendship, he hopes he knows what it means etc. If they did a heck of a lot more than kiss and hug, well, he'd be more certain of what it means. He's still at that uncertainty stage where he doesn't know if it was just a moment they had together or will she really be his girlfriend?

I do not think this is a 'set up' to fool the order. He seemed much too genuinely happy for that. I don't think Bree would try to seduce him to fool the order because she is much too inexperienced to pull that off.

It is possible that she was feeling emotionally needy and vulnerable and had a moment of weakness and is not really ready for a serious boyfriend and he is head over heels in love with her. The difference in maturity between 17 and 19 is great. In that case Beast may end up having his heart seriously broken.

Anybody think maybe "walk of shame" was Daniel wanted something to happen but Bree didn't?

It certainly does not appear that way by his expression.

My guess is that they left it ambiguous on purpose so we would fill up 20 pages in the forum with speculation on whether they did it or not.

Maybe we will get clarification or maybe we won't and it will remain an unanswered question.

But one thing is certain the relationship between Bree and Daniel has changed.
Jonas is now clearly the third wheel.

This is the most plausible answer. I noticed that several people reference the Wiki definition of "Walk of Shame" but fail to add the male perspective.

From Wiki:
For men, the "walk of shame" is often concerned with who they slept with. For example, if your bedmate is considerably undesirable, you might do a "walk of shame" after sleeping with them. On the other hand, there is often regarded as being no "walk of shame" associated with sleeping with a very attractive woman; this is sometimes known as the "Stride of Pride."

If they "slept together" Daniel would be doing the "Stride of Pride" not the "Walk of Shame". To me this means he did not sleep with Bree.

lol. nice unintended pun
i think bree was in a vulnerable state last night. if they DID have sex (which i hope they didn't, just bc it would change so much), daniel only went along because he was blinded by his love for bree (bc there's no denying it, he is totally in love with her). had he recognized that she was/is emotionally unstable, he wouldn't have. and i dont think he did. he's pretty insightful
Well, plus...even the nicest of boys would find it nearly impossible to resist a girl that he's ovbiously had the hots for for a LONG time coming on to him. Seriously.

I just hope she doesn't regret it, and we won't see a sad Bree video tomorrow...

Also, I would just like to throw out the fact that as someone Bree and Daniel's age, I've always heard both "hooking up" and "walk of shame" as referring to sex. But I suppose both can be used to mean less than that. I dunno. I hope they didn't have sex. That would just be so out of character.
Jonas: way too hot to be true.

I just googled it, and "stride of pride" isn't a popular term at all. Only 220 results, compared to 208,000 for "walk of shame."

So I don't think Daniel being not using the phrase "stride of pride" is an incredibly weak argument.

I'm not saying he would use that phrase. What I'm saying is if they had sex, he wouldn't use the phrase "Walk of Shame". I wouldn't - would you?

EDIT: The "Stride of Pride" is something guys just do - not something they talk about. (I'm in danger of revealing too much about myself but, I do not do the "Walk of Shame" after sleeping with an attractive woman or someone I really like - quite the opposite)
