So maybe i missed it somewhere else on here but what are you suggestiong? that he is still fired, that he was but the brought him back quick due to backlash....what are you saying?

missviolet wrote:No, you're right. It IS speculation on my part.

However, my speculation is based on human nature, not on half-cocked ideas that the creators just up and told him, "Hey, Yousef -- you suck. Find another job," which, from all other mentions of them, seems far, far out of character for them.

Yousef has made other blog posts where he's demonstrated that he's emotionally driven. If he was stirred up by the suggestion to find other employment, it stands to reason that my theory is probably closer to the truth than the THIS IS A CONSPIRACY theories.
WHAT IF
what if they had a bad day of filming and the creators went off on his acting ability. He being a young guy and new to the acting gig was really hurt by it and had a oh woe is me moment when he wrote that. Saying he was going to have to find other work because his confidence was shot and thought he might be getting let go, espcially if they are suggesting that the pay checks might not be coming as often. If they got him thinking he sucks I would be thinking...they aren't going to keep paying me if they dont like me.

what if time is over.

Here is Yousef's latest bulletin

Subject LG15 statement
Body: I will start by saying thank you. I say thank you to all the fans for the wonderful support and positive comments I've received. I enjoy working with both the LG15 cast and crew. They have given me an incredible opportunity and I recognise all that they have done for me. I'm extremely lucky to have had the chance to have a fan base and I will never forget that, no matter what happens to the future of my career. I also want to say that I feel that you the fans of lonelygirl15 deserve to see a conclusion to our story that we have worked so hard to produce. Daniel will not be leaving, and I would never quit doing this show that I have come to truly love being a part of. I am very passionate and devoted to this project and the character that I have worked to produce. I truly have felt blessed to have had a chance to work on the show. I heard that we have run out of budget, but when we started working on Lonelygirl15 we had no budget either. So I say, when we started we had no money and when we finish it can also be without any money. I would do this project for free. I just want this project to work. I loved everything about this project, and still do. I think it has been a very compelling story and really want to leave you all, the fans, without a loss of an ending. I think that you all deserve nothing less.
For the future, when I said that you all have truly touched my heart I meant it. To all of my new friends who I have spoken with, or who have left me a wonderful comment, or message I say thank you! I want to say to you that I feel so lucky to have had you. This business is full of ups and downs and when its down it's a horrible feeling of worthlessness, but you all have helped me feel like an accomplished person, whether or not I succeed in the future. To all of you who I have not spoken to I want to apologise. I really have tried to respond to everyone who has commented to me. I do not take anyone of you for granted, and never will. In fact one of the best days that I can remember is the first time I sent out an autograph through the mail. I was so excited, that I took a nerdy pic of myself with the envelope right before I sent it out. It might sound strange, but to know that I was able to make someone happy by sending them a picture of myself with only my autograph on it, was so uplifting. It might seem corny, but that's why I would say that I am as big of a fan of you as you might be of me. I cannot stress how wonderful you all have made me feel in such a short time and if I am never able to do another project at least I will be able to look back at this time.
Thank you all, from the cast to the crew and most of all to the Friends!
I will never forget you all!
Yousef Abu-Taleb

I'm not really suggesting anything except that this whole thing doesn't look like it was just a misunderstanding on his part. The bad actor stuff just isn't logical in my opinion. I think they could have fired him and then had to bring him back...or maybe he is still fired and will just be in a couple more episodes..or maybe he wanted to see if anyone would care if he left..or maybe the whole thing was done on purpose, with the creators knowledge for some reason....it could be a lot of things, but the one thing I"m not buying is that they'd fire him without an explination and that he'd immediately assume it was because he was a bad actor and go and make a post insinuating that he'd no longer be a part of the project which he knows the fans will read...and, innevitably, the news would reach the forum. That makes no sense to me.
PS I also don't see why Missviolet's explination would be the only possible one..that makes no sense either. And, in case everyone has forgotten, this whole project started out as a "lie" from the creators. I wouldn't expect them to be completely honest now...especially if he really was fired. (I don't care about the "lie" either...I mean, that's what made this whole project what it is. That was neccessary, and other "lies" may be neccessary as well. That's fine. I'm just saying, this whole ordeal could have one of many explinations)

Aw, spacie, give the guy a break. He seems sincere to me. In fact, I got a bit weepy when I read about him taking the pic of himself with the envelope containing his first autograph. You can't make that kind of stuff up.

I'm not on MySpace (and don't plan to join), so I can't PM Yousef, but if I could, I'd tell him to have some faith in himself. If he hangs in there, I'd bet his career will go places. (Heck, remember even Tom Hanks started off in that awful TV show Bosom Buddies. Not that I'm a fan of Tom Hanks, but still . . .)

From another Yousef Bulletin at Myspace:

Hey guys, sorry that post was a little confusing. I am not a "PR" person. I just kind of speak from the heart. Anyway, it's pretty simple what happened. There has been a lot of tension on the set for a whole lot of reasons and we got into a fight about some stuff. Overall it was a really horrible day and I felt like crap. I am not leaving the show and I am not being fired, Daniel will continue on. Also, the show is DEFINITELY not ending, we really want to do this thing "forever." Yeah, money is tight, but I'm sure we will figure it out, we always have through this entire thing. I love all you guys, the fans are what make it worthwhile for me! Thanks, talk to you all later.

So, essentially what happened is that they got into it over money (the "find other employment" and the fact that cashflow's mentioned twice in Yousef's bulletins and in the creators' note lead me in that direction), they told Yousef there wasn't any and he should find somewhere else for cash, and he made a post on myspace while feeling like crap to get some support from friends.

Hmm. Sounds suspiciously like exactly what I said, doesn't it?

(Sorry for the "I told you so". Well, kind of. I'm just glad the series is going on, in general.)

yeh well thankfully we know whats going on now.

we really shouldn't read to much into it, it does sound like maybe the creators got a bit knarky whilst filming (understandable if they're pouring money to this thing), perhaps criticised yousef (fairly or unfairly, we don't know) yousef might have been like "it's not like i'm getting paid" and they've told him to go get a job in that case, yousef gets offended and feels unwanted posts on myspaz in the heat of the moment, all hell breaks loose, everyone calms down, realises how silly they're being. and we can get back to our favourite web-based drama safe in the knowledge that danielbeast will continue to grace our monitors...

Thats without reading to much into it of course

seems like any close, high paced, creative relationship to me (especially when money is thin on the ground and they're working together every day)

glad to see it's all (hopefully resolved)

Yousef answered my PM on myspace with the message "We worked things out. Everything is fine now."

Doesn't sound like a misunderstanding...sounds like something that got...oh....worked out.
