It doesn't make sense to me... there really wasn't anything worth noting unless we're all blind here. It was just for that one little cut too, could be a mistake? I also wouldn't be too surprised though that we're all missing something there.Somnia posted:

Totally my theory too.Balmung wrote:Here's the biggest thing we can know from the fact that jonas took the camera. Jonas wants to be able to communicate with bree and danniel.
the only reason he would have taken the camera would be to either document evidence to clear his name, or to tell B&D what's going on, and why [and maybe how] he left.
it seems obvious to me that Jonas is innocent, and he took the camera so he could tell them "look, you guys, you're insane. this is ridiculous. i can't believe you would turn on me like this, after all I've done for you out of the goodness of my heart, and all we've been through together."
As for who he called, well, there's a lot of speculation previously about him calling a caretaker or some such to have the cabin readied for people coming down, couldn't he have just called that person with a "hi, my cars not working, can you give me a ride into town, meet you at the road" type call?
Just walking in his shoes, if I got free, I would hightail it outta there too. He was very angry, and probably very actually scared for his life, with Bree interrogating him and having him tied up for days. He hasn't managed to convince them to let him go, so what must he have been thinking they would do with him in the end?
He's just gotten out of there because being free and explaining his innocence is the only way to make them listen and convince them it's true.
Also, I'm thinking he actually left the car out of safety for Bree and Daniel. He'll probably tell them in the next vid where he hid the keys for them to escape if they need to. He just wants to get far enough to post a vid.

I've dealt with those ties before, its easier to gnaw through your wrist than through the plastic. Hell, even with a ginsui knife it took forever to get them cut.PixieSailor wrote:Yeah, I just tried getting my head in that position and it didn't work. I know when I want to get those off something I bite through them. Given enough time, and depending on his position and the tie positions, it may have been possible to get out.
I really think all we can do is wait for another video.
Also, the end of the chair is thicker than the width of the arm. the tie is behind the larger stump part of it, which thickens to about 2 inches. They're fairly common chairs. you could have them loose enough not to cut off circulation and sitll not be able to get them over the end of the chair without a lot of damage to your wrist (which they would have probably noticed if they were at all good at bondage)[/quote]

what are they thinking?
Are they trying to make us think that there is a possible suicide?
I mean DB followed the footsteps and they stopped at the lake...Could it mean?

Re: what are they thinking?
The general concensus is that its a ashphalt road, not a lake.paigeb25 wrote:Are they trying to make us think that there is a possible suicide?

Perhaps it is meant to communicate that there is another camera involved; maybe the one that was seen in the tree?mistabroadway wrote:It doesn't make sense to me... there really wasn't anything worth noting unless we're all blind here. At this point it doesn't make sense, but that's the only thing that comes to mind.

I've used them too, they can actually be pretty weak at the connector, if you get them right and pull right it'll just pop. They aren't that hard to cut really, but there is no way with the way he was tied he could of got his head down to gnaw them off, and he would have to have some pretty sharp teeth for it lol. In the end it's just plastic, hard plastic I'll give you that, but plastic, work it enough it's going to weaken and give in.

For clarity sake, it's a road, not a lake. <--- ha, that rhymes.paigeb25 wrote:Are they trying to make us think that there is a possible suicide?

... that's a good question, longlostposter. I wasn't serious in the least. But, like Pixxi just said,How do you cutt off your hands with both of them bound
anyway... this obviously did not happen.its easier to gnaw through your wrist than through the plastic
I think if jonas spent some time gnawing at the plastic, and rubbing it against the arms of the chair, it would eventually become weak enough to snap.

I think if you're tied up for 3 or 4 days you'd have plenty of time to do this. Anyone want to volunteer for an experiment?Originally Posted By Cabby:

I totally agree, that's a very logical explanation of what could've happened. But I think he took the keys cuz he was planning on taking the car, but then thought that B&D would hear him drive away. So he just got far from the house and called someone, maybe a taxi, or maybe just a neighbor, or maybe the same person who he called ahead to on their way to the cabin, like a groundskeeper.TommyIsCancer wrote: So he takes the keys as well so they can't leave and the other camera so he can make a video to post. He calls a taxi and it picks him up on the road. He goes to a hotelroom so he can post a video for Daniel and Bree to explain the situation. It makes sense and it's what I'd do in his place. He wants to prove he's innocent but he can't do it tied up. He's afraid. And besides, if he was able to work the ropes over for a few days and get out of them only his wrists were zip tied. It wouldn't be hard for him to stand up and walk over to something sharp to cut the ties. Sure, he'd have a chair on him but he could move.
I don't think Daniel did it and I don't think he did it unknowingly because of some codeword Jonas said. That's just too messed up for my tastes.
Daniel gets stage fright
