Yes well it's a FACT that Keira Knightley wouldn't be returning, so the fourth movie would be more of a spin-off than anything. The creators of the trilogy want the franchise to continue somehow, though.

I do love them, but four would just be too much of a good thing. I think that when there is a successful franchise like PotC, the studios milk them for all they're worth. It happens all the time. I'm so relieved and grateful that the creators of Lost decided not to do that.
