Kahlua Cake
CAKE:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
4 eggs
1/2 Cup sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
1 package Devils Food cake mix
One 3 3/4 oz package instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 Cup Vegetable oil
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup Kahlua'
GLAZE:
1/2 Cup water
1/2 Cup sugar
1/2 stick of butter (1/8 lb)
1/2 cup Kahlua'
Spray and flour a 13*9 pan or bundt pan. Mix cream cheese, 1 of the eggs, 1/2 cup sugar in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips and then set aside.
In large bowl, combine cake mix, instant pudding, vegetable oil, 1/2 cup water, Kahlua and remaining 3 eggs, beaten until smooth.
Pour 1/2 batter into pan. Spread cheese filling over top. Pour remaining batter on top.
Bake in 325 degree oven for one hour or until tester comes out clean.
To prepare glaze, heat water, sugar and butter in a sauce pan until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of Kahlua.
While cake is hot, pout 1/2 glaze over the top. Cool completely. Invert on serving plat and brush remaining glaze.
