It's still flattery if you're flattering yourself... and in that case you're only decieving yourself. Is that what you're saying?

Make up your mind... you cant be comfortable with yourself and be deceiving yourself at the same time.

Besides, "comfortable" is only what you believe it is. If you have the "self confidence" to say that you are cool, then you are. Flattery or not, you have to believe in yourself, otherwise there's no use in even trying to be "cool"...
