Hi Mushu. Adventures in Babysitting was about ransacking OpAphid Bree and Daniel's hotel room. It was sarcastic. OpAphid is either a part of or works for the Order. Jonas' nanny/babysitter could not have been OpAphid, due to plot inconsistencies. Thanks for posting, though!

I either thought Jonas was goner, or part of the Order.

I guess Bree knew they couldn't hurt her, so she ran in front of Jonas?

He could have shot him in the back though, easily, when they ran away. Either they have some weird moral code, or the watcher never pulled out again.

And like some people have said-- that is some bad watching-- so freaking obvious.

Either way... weird.

Well they want her to choose to go with them. They don't want to scare her anymore. They want her to think that they are good people so she will choose to go with them.
That would be the reason they didn't hurt Jonas.

I'm thinking he didn't hurt Jonas because this underling didn't have direct ORDERS to hurt any of them. He was there for some other reason.

yup you are right. OpAphid is a militant group from the Order. The Order is the group of people that are watching (they are called "Watchers", but OpAphid amusingly reffers to them as Babysitters). They want bree to choose to go with them

What is the point of the "watching" then? Especially "watching" so obviously?

Possibly to give Bree some kind of illusion that they are keeping her "safe" and that the idea of them chasing after her is nothing more than something she created in her imagination?

i dunno, just puttin it out there. I just woke up too...

To show her that they are going to be forever a part of her life.

They'll never leave her alone until she chooses to do the ceremony.
Its a method of minipulation.
They Make her choose to do so in free will, by having a threatening force looming over her. But they are not there to hurt, they are there jsut to make her feel like she could possibly be facing a life or death decission. And They want her to choose life for herself and the people around her.
They used her father as a scare tactic. They used him to show her their capabilties. That they are dangerous. So by strategically placing the watchers in their view during a tramatic and emotional time when they think they are safe, places the idea in Bree's head that herself and her firends will never be safe until she does the ceremony.

I think it's more because if they want her to do the ceremony, they're not going to shoot her and risk killing her/her losing too much blood or something like that.

They kidnapped Daniel and handed him back to her blindfolded with hands bound--- also, they know she's working with Tachyon.
I think they're way too smart to imagine they could actually convince her they're good, at this point. They're most likely going to work on other forms "free will" coersion.

Good job with the play-by-play, Balmung.

Maybe. It would be a bit of coincedence, though, to have "Watchers" and "babysitters" (they essentially sound like the same thing). The way the guy in this video or the one in "Fleeing The Watcher" just stood around sounds an awful lot like "babysitting" to me.

But it's still not definitive, true. I think it's likely, though (especially since that one guy in "The Ceremony" seemed to be dressed like a Watcher, and Lucy's worn similar clothes in the past), and either way, I don't think the Watchers are good guys. The one in this video would have tried to say he was there to help or he would have done something to show he meant no harm. He especially wouldn't have tried to hurt someone who has risked himself time and time again to protect Bree if they both had that goal.

i loved jonas's walk up to the guy

he's all like
"what! whatcha gonna do, tough guy? whatcha gonna do, oppy boy? huh? show me some spin art? bring it, bitch!"
and then his punch is deflected
"ah, mothaf**er!... oh sh*t"
bree steps in and the order dude stops his punch
"what! what! dont hold me back bree, dont hold me back!"
(when he's really the one holding her)
"this dude needs an ass kicking! dont hold me back!"
bree runs
"you're lucky, bitch! lucky i didn't TKO your ass. dont let me see your pansy face around here again!"
and he runs as we hear in our heads the sound of a dog whimpering
