I agree that "Tracing the footsteps" and not "Asking" anyone is probably the best rout... I still think that "Pins and Pints" MAY be a hint to helop the people at the drop site... :?

My problems with the idea of the ID just sitting there are:

1. If anyone else found it, they probably picked it up and either pocketed it...or brought it to the counter. This would require us to ask for it

2. An ID is very easily missed even by an individual who knows exactly WHERE it was dropped...or at least has a good idea. Looking for a very flat piece of plastic that may be kicked / stepped on and dragged / etc. would be tricky

3. If it is hidden in a bush or on the ground outside, even a plastic coated ID could be blown away...or worse...covered by dirt and muck the longer it sits unfound.

It isn't going to be placed where it is easily found. Ask ladron about his hat sometime

Maybe the pins and pints was meaning he dropped it in their lounge area. Heck, I dunno.

Per Op's PM to me, they want to find his ID so they can find the Three Stooges.

She didn't say specifically it was his ID, though, just that if we can narrow down the correct bowling alley they can narrow down their search for a certain location.

She has his cell phone number...she has to in order to be able to get the triangulation, right? Coverage may be spotty in some locations, but it isn't necesarrily in others. Along the highway, service will be strong. If they aren't able to pinpoint the exact location of his phone, it's because he's not near the highway.

Also, I think we need to be looking at the presence of cell towers. Areas where there are few (if any) would be a more likely location.

According to that...there are no towers in Rohnert Park, but quite a few in Santa Rosa. A couple in Windsor and Willits and Ukiah.

how did they even know DB was there anyway?
Oppy said she had some information available to her...that how she got the triangulation. That means she knows his cell phone number.

that's what i figured.

1) how did op get DB's number?
1 a) how long has she had it?
2) we still dunno if McPhee's character was brought in as a random Op Oprative.

I would say that Op got his number when he was using his phone in his room to find the camera.

OH!! Well, Jonas, in the Truth or Dare video, said:
[yawn] SO, here I am at...Pins and Pints...it's uh...it's a bowling alley. It's kind of like the local hangout. It's where everyone from town shows. So why am I here? I'm here because...I was sleeping and I get this phone call from some girl who says that Daniel gave her my number and that--apparently he's in there. And just...drunk. And I mean rip-roaring drunk is what this girl said. And she's supposed to be bringing him out, but, I don't know...it's been like five...ten minutes...so we're waiting.

pure conjecture is tricky; i only like theories that can have a basis in what we "know" from past events or from what the people have said (Tachy, Oppy, Brother...y...).

that's true; i've heard it as well. but like other pluykers (in that delightful limbo of playing and lurking) i like to try to follow more solid theories, even if the gossip is perfectly reasonable.
