thats really cool, but compare the one on the box to all the the one it most resembles (first one in right column)....the one on the box seems to be flipped. I don't think anyone has mentioned this.
Could it be of some importance?

ok, the last one, not so much but..it does seem that we have taken as read that daniel's parents are out of the picture. he seems to be drawing us back to that, so what are we missing?

The symbol on the box is not a true "infinity" symbol, guys...it's different. There are true ending points on the one Daniel showed us, whereas there is no end point to a lemniscate.

imho they are quite different. every infinity sign i have been able to find on the net crosses in the middle. the one of the box clearly does not...

as to what it really is...

i dunno

then again it may be super stylized or completly made up...

(also removing the perfect symmetry from the infinity sign, kinda messes with the symbolism of the whole thing...)

the oppites say it resembles a type of RNA, and that there's a genetic company that -- in real life-- set up a station in san diego...

I'll join you lonely outliers. I'm no calligrapher, but it looks to me like you would draw this symbol by starting in the middle, go up and out to the left, then down and over and up to where you started (thereby making an O) then up and to the right, then down, then into the middle (thereby making a P). Try drawing the symbol yourself and I think you'll see what I mean.

There really wouldn't have been any point in him looking for others. The presence of one would have told him all he needed to know. Especially if he was concerned about what they might do if he waited around for any length of time after that.
