Man, that is sad. I wouldn't know what to do, either.

Lass...I don't have any instant advice to give you right now...this is one of those things that I need to think about, then share my thoughts on...

Yeah, well, she says she's willing for us to get counseling, which she's never done in her life before, so that's something.
Thanks for your sympathy, Kas (and Zi, too, of course). It means a lot.

I'm happy just to have your hugs and listening ear (or is it "reading eye"?

).

Probably not really that helpful, Lass, but when I was in my early 20's, it seemed like every time I started to become emotionally involved with someone, they decided to move out of state. At the time, it sucked. But I wouldn't be where I am in life right now if I hadn't gone through it. I guess I'm just trying to say that no matter what happens, everything has a way of working itself out in the end

Thanks, 'mute. I appreciate your good wishes.
I'm just hanging on to the thought that everything will indeed work out.

Geez...that's a hard situation. I can totally sympathize with both sides of it. It's cool that she's willing to go to counseling, maybe you'll be able to work out some kind of comprimise or deal that way without anyone being hurt too badly.

So yesterday, I walk up to the front door of this house in a kind of red-neck area and there are 4 hand painted, colorful signs in the grass that say " Have" "a Hippety" "Hoppity" "Easter" and there's a duck statue sort of like this:

with a tiny set of bunny ears and a matching cape velcroed on it, which was humiliating to even look at sort of like this:

There were various other tacky Easter decorations scattered about the area too. I wonder if that kind of thing is a result of being extremely happy with your marriage, house, kids and job or a veiled cry for help/ warning that you are moments away from taking a nice little trip to the top of the tallest building in town with your husband's hunting rifle.
I do not want to reach a point in my life where I am buying my duck statue holiday outfits. I don't even know when Easter is..(fu*king heathen).

It's one of those holidays where we keep changing the date around to f*ck with Jesus.

First, I'm tempted to quote Eddie Izzard...
Second, I don't get the dressing up of the fake geese. There are a ton of old people homes around here with such geese. I've even seen where you can buy the different outfits. I don't get it.
