Jo, where are you?

Jess and I are both on the southeast, only she is two states down.

Wow, was I surprised to wake up to that much snow!

Seriously. They said it might snow "a little" by the afternoon.
Whenever they predict lots of snow we get little to no snow...when they say we MIGHT get a little we get a ton lol

You know Jess, I never noticed that before!!

When I lived in GA (which was most of my life!) we got snow maybe one day a year.

I've lived in NC before, and I've been snowbound for a week or more. This time, I don't think it will be as bad though.

I love snow...I just wish we got more of it down here! If it's going to be cold, it needs to snow...why waste the cold? ;)

Snow is really nice. I agree. I remember a trip to Minnesota that I made one time. I couldn't get over all the BLACK snow. See, we don't see that in the south.

It snows so rarely that OUR snow always looks so clean and pristine!!

Mainly because people are scared to death to go out in it ;)

You're right, Jess.

"Yankees" just don't understand. Our local govts cannot invest in all that snow equip, like the trucks with the salt, etc. and the heavy chains, just for 1-7 days a year.

They make fun of us for closing everything down.. but none of us are prepared to drive in snow.. They may do it "all the time," but that may be why they don't wreck..

and YES that video is on the main page.

Also, Maccaboy17 did a great job. Really great. But, where did he get that gun? Guns are illegal in Britain now.

And..Is he in our defense force? He should be. Maybe he uses a different name on the forum. I should write to him on YouTube!!

I didn't understand when I first moved down here either...but since I was still in school I didn't complain!!! I loved getting out of school for no apparent reason. Mom and I would go out to the mall and NOONE was there!! We found it hilarious then, but learned to understand very quickly when we realized the lack of equipment because of the lack of need for it...

Yeah!!

I LOVED the "snow days" as a child. I did not realize we were just going to have to "make them up!!"
