why do the boys drink every chance they get? poor bree is always stuck with 2 drunks. I like Jonas' shirt. Taste like chicken, lol.
I also don't like Bree once again promoting this John Gray/Deborah Tannen idea that males and females are so different from one another. There's more differences among males and among females than there are between them.
who cares.

I think any parent of eight kids under the age of 6 is probably a different species.
I resemble that remark. My mother had that specific problem. It's called multiple births, Lurker.
I think you missed my meaning. I was suggesting that taking care that of many kids so close in age would be pretty rough (my grandmother did it too, and those were actually one at a time).

Being alcoholics would be a large enough problem in their lives without having the Illuminati on their ass at the same time.

i'm afraid i'm gonna have to completely dissagree with you there, lurker. i mean, they don't get drunk every day, not even close, [if i remember right] they've been wasted 3 times in like 6 months. and they're funny! lol

and as far as the males/females thing goes, males and females ARE different. it's been shown, for example, that men are very physical beings, and women are very emotional beings. men usually are focused on outcome, while women are focused on method. unfortunately, i don't really have time to find and cite sources on this, but look it up if you're interested, it's out there.

and in saying that i don't mean to imply that men and women are completely different from each other, or that one is better than the other, i'm just saying that the differences are there.
Thank you Balmung. Totally agree with you.
Oh come on!
That was so funny!
and Consideration made some great points.
It's Dannyboy with the problem. This is the first time Jonas has been drunk.
And really Danny's first time in Mexico ? Of course he is going to go out and let off some steam. Uno mas, por favor!
why do people keep saying this is the 1st time jonas has been drunk? it's not.[/quote]

I get along so much better with males than with other females. Well, when I find a male who's actually worth hanging out with, rare thing that is. Maybe that does show that there are differences between males and females, though. But I don't think Bree is saying that they're so different from one another, really.

You always provide such powerful, airtight counterarguments to things I say, lonelygirl. Thank you so much for freeing my mind. May I call you Morpheus?

Actually that's not entirely true.

References to drinking started in mid-January with "Truth or Dare" with Daniel. The consequences of that were shown in "Hungover".

It was again indirectly implied in "For the Ladies" and "Daniel's Missing" -- though not shown, the reference was still made.

Then we had "Drinking Problems" where Daniel discusses it. At that point, the references seems to die down...until Aunt Alex showed up and we saw them drinking at the party (which they dedicated TWO videos to).

Then, during "Co-ed Foosball" ...they're at a bar. Granted this one is pushing it, but it was in the "air" as it were.

Then, we have them plastered in "Vegas Baby". In "Lying Bastards" Jonas makes a reference to it and calls Daniel a lush...and of course, they're smashed again in this video.

For me, it's a whole of the references to it more than anything. So that's 10-11 videos where drinking was either featured, discussed or implied...since January 19th...about 50 videos or so. It may not seem like a lot, but remember, we're only seeing what the Creators give us. That's what bothers me, about 20% of the videos lately have had references to alcohol. That's a rather large chunk of you ask me.

As for it being funny? It was funny at first...now it's just getting old and stale...like the beer on their breath, I'm sure.

This is the first time Jonas has been drunk.
No, it's not.

you're right, I was wrong , it's the second time for Jonas.

For me personally, it is no big deal. It is funny (for me) and it is in-character.

"constant drunkeness"? I have to disagree with that one.
sorry

As for the drinking, helllloooooooooo. They are college-age kids in Mexico...
Not only that, but they are AMERICAN college-aged kids in Mexico who AREN'T Mexican.

LoL, non-spanish-speakers in Mexico means only one thing.

They were too poor for the Caribbean. :D

OMG LURKER, so what are some of the differences between males that are as detectable and important as the differences between male and female?

I mentioned some back on page 5 and Languorous Lass has mentioned others, but I'll try to summarize:

—Verbal skills
—Aggressive roles
—Helpfulness to strangers
—Emotional sensitivity
—Responses to stress
—Masculinity
—Femininity

There's studies out there if you're curious. On page 5 I mentioned a couple of Ph.D's in communications studies who have done quite a bit of research on this sort of thing. If you're really interested, I'd suggest starting with them. Their works should mention others.
