You're making my point for me, Panda. You shouldn't HAVE to explain something 20 times. You should just be able to point someone in the right direction where they can find all of the info they need. And if someone tries to help because the information is spotty or inconisistent, then you shouldn't get pissy for it.

Yes, it IS pertinent because Lad took it during the recovery. Didn't you read what I wrote? Besides, If it isn't pertinent, you wouldn't have mentioned it in the summary, or as I have already said, you'd put up a CLEAR statement about it like this:

Lad also found a small container with some toys and a logbook. Because of phone reception issues, he made a judgment call and took it with him, just in case. As it turns out, the container was NOT part of the drop, but was a geocache -- an entirely different game. Lad will make sure the container gets back to it's rightful owner...but it has no relation to OpAPHID or the drop.

That tells eveyone what happend, no questions asked and it tells the people who visist here from the geocahce site what happened and what will happen to the accidentally pilfered cache. Remember, the geocache site had a comment that linked to the drop thread so they will be coming here. If I, as a geocacher linked over here and read that thread, I'd be pissed that you guys all said it wasn't pertinent. However, if I read a general "Oops, we're taking care it " type of thing...no harm done.

Now, if you all REALLY want to just sit here and squabble, fine. You'll get about a half an hour before someone else comes in and locks the thread. If its drama you want, knock yourself out. Just keep it out of the ontopic threads.

I'm sorry you're bored and have nothing better to do than argue this to death. Especially since you're the one talking about how we're supposed to try to be welcoming to the new people.
