Does it really bother you if filming style changes? The vblog format is really nice, but I have to admit, I like seeing Bree and Daniel on screen together and I would not mind at all if they gave up the vblog perspective and started 3rd person shooting the videos.

ok i know i was the first one ot mention the obviously wrong camera but i'd just like to say do we watch this series for its techniques and style or do we watch ite because we love the story and love the characters?

we all want daniel and bree to finall get together but how do you do that if you stick to this format?

and about jonas, i feel he'll be little more than a personification of the forum seeing as gemma has becomemore a charcter in her own right (and yes i know an unpopular one at that) i see gemma in the future offerig more advice based on experience and jonas (if he continues) offering advice based mainly on being independant (ie from the forum)

i would love to see some more cross over witht the characters, gemma will be out of uni for christmas soon so she might come to america and help bree and daniel (i know unlikely but the creator have got the issue of the christmas holiday to deal with when it comes to gemma)

obviously we are all expecting something soon todo with the room because of of the key issue, but i just have this to say and i hope the creators followed this advice, how creepy would it be if actually nothing happened or to be more accurate nothing seemed to happen so rahter than tare up the room the order were more subtle. say rather than seeing owen ripped into fluff by vengefull deacons all they notice is that daniel comput seems ot be running a little slow (because it been bugged) and they seem to be a long blonde hair on the key board (or even better on daniels bed just for the the accusations of what he was doing while she was at the movies) of course i mena it only to imply that lucy is amoung the watchers if not leading

i have an image of lucy as one of those cold calculation type of villians you see in movies thane when told of their opponents actions they are completely unphased and can stop or track them with no difficulty, to paraphrase lady macbeth she appears the flower but is in fact the snake beneath

I so want this series to mesh with Sam has 7 friends... Awesome. Clearly if this series is about what people show to the real world, then maybe we are missing something about Bree. She shows herself as bright and spunky, but maybe there is a dark side... No one would go on Youtube and post videos displaying their evil plans or mental insanity. Well, maybe insanity- I've seen alot of crying videos. But we are only seeing what Bree and Daniel want us to see. There is probably alot going on that we don't see.

Sam7 is indeed a much, much more skillful example of interweaving storylines between different creative teams, but we have to remember that it is professionally produced, budgeted and written, and was always designed to move toward a specific climax.

Lonelygirl15 is more experimental, and I will even describe it as largely an amateur effort, even though Miles hasn't quite put it in those terms (yet). It has to fluctuate and move audience segments in and out over time.

It's going to be interesting to see if they really can re-generate the earlier excitement, but at the moment my Magic 8 Ball suggests that the outlook isn't all that rosy. The time to be capitalizing on fan interest was in late September and early October. Unfortunately, that forward motion is flawed because of the Great Perceived Bait-and-Switch (perception is reality when you are at the mercy of your audience), and because of all these setbacks and delays in implementing the website. (Which was your own fault in at least two different particulars, Miles; you guys had the brass ring right there in your grasp and you dropped it. Hindsight's a bitch, innit? I do admire your team's chutzpah and faith in the project to keep everyone pressing on now. I want this to succeed because I want all projects like this to succeed).

Right now, it isn't time for us to care about the side characters yet; I think the difficulty people have in accepting them is that we had plenty of time to grow to love Bree and Daniel before the plot moved along. Right now we just get a lot of snarky and silly mugging from Jonas and Gemma which makes them both come across as disturbing narcissists when responding to a pair of young people in the situation Bree and Daniel have found themselves in.

If this is meant to be a character point -- being raised within the Order instills charisma but damages the young person's ability to care deeply, even after they have left its influence -- that's fair enough, and perhaps we are even picking up on early notes of that with Bree's defensive nonchalance. Bree could have, in other words, grown into Jonas and Gemma.

Right now, the character who most needs to be developed is Daniel. I think you guys are making a tiny step in the right direction with it, but Daniel is the only semi-responsible person at the moment who is capable of caring for Bree. Leave the too-charismatic-for-his-backstory breebait Jonas on the shelf for another couple of weeks, even if it means rescheduling everyone.

Don't be so focused on using everyone to move the plot three milimeters forward before we've had a chance to not loathe the new characters -- you're experimental anyway, so try NOT BEING SO LINEAR.

Go back to Mesh's apartment and show us Daniel and Bree amusing themselves by "remixing" stuff they "didn't use" from older vlogs. Let Bree finally talk some more about her nonThelemic nonReligion. Script us some business of Daniel teaching Bree to edit.

Quit shoving Yousef in the back of the frame, dammit. There's so much Daniel could be doing right now, consistently in-character with what has already been written for him.

I agree. That's probably the problem a lot of people have had adjusting to them. They may have needed to be around longer.

At the same time, though, I have to wonder what would have happened if they had been around longer. Sure we might have gotten to like them on their own terms before we even had confirmation that this was a production, but what would the Creators be doing with them now? There'd end up being people who would say that they still came off as emotionally-detached narcissists unless they were putting up like 50 vlogs a day expressing concern for Daniel and Bree, or unless they offered to put all of their finances and their own lives toward resolving the situation for them.

I think bringing in new characters at all created a tough situation for the Creators.

I personally think that Jonas should be a spin-off more or less to himself. Let him have his own ongoing storyline or something. Keep the connection to Bree and Daniel's storyline to cameos at best.

Maybe have it crossover with Gemma's or something. This guy's rich. He could end up in England while on a quest to find out what happened to his parents. They could totally do something like that, and then have them team up.

Not only would it prevent any of us from wanting to fillet him alive for getting deeply involved in Bree-Daniel relations, but it would allow for a good opportunity to really make us get attached to Gemma and Jonas on their own terms. And it would also be a nice turnabout of the formula.

What I mean by this is that some have suggested that Jonas is a male Bree to some extent or another. So why not run with it? Here in Bree and Daniel's storyline, we have a female main character with a male that -- while also a main character in the sense of the storyline -- is still the second person. If we had Jonas and Gemma join up for their own story, it would be the other way around. I hope you're listening, Creators!

Besides, there's only so much longer they can carry this whole Order thing anyway. If the Creators really want to get the most mileage out of all this, they'll resolve that in the next month or two at the most, and then try something like what I've suggested with Jonas and Gemma.

That way, they can begin this new story with already introduced characters.

I think that's something else my suggestion would really address. We'd get to learn to like Jonas and Gemma in the new storyline.

Also, I think the Creators understand something: even though is the Breeniverse, everything doesn't have to revolve around Bree. Jonas, for instance, has his own backstory, his own personal tragedies, etc. that are in no way related to Bree's life (as far as we know).

Expanding the Breeniverse, to me, means treating other characters as though they don't exist solely for the sake of adding to Bree's personal story developments. In other words, they don't have to try developing Gemma and Jonas to Bree or Daniel levels before they finish Bree and Daniel's storyline. That would be playing to this idea that everything revolves around Bree.

Again, if the Creators want to get the most mileage out of all this, they've got to wrap up this Order thing relatively soon (patience only goes so far), and then see what they can get out of the other characters. After the Order thing gets wrapped up, they can have a second "season" with Daniel and Bree if they want even while Jonas and Gemma go off and do their own thing.

Then we could have occasional cameos. Personally, I think this would do wonders for the survival of the franchise (well, it's not really a franchise yet, but you know what I mean; I think it would do wonders for helping it become one).

They'd need to wrap up a lot of stuff in the next month or two, though, particularly where Cassie (the plot device), OpAphid and Tachyon are concerned.

If they do something like that, one or two videos of that at the most is all it should be. 10 videos of filler just to get Jonas and Gemma more developed would be bad bad bad. At least in my opinion, because -- as I've explained above -- revolving the Breeniverse around Bree makes for a pretty bad, unconvincing universe that a lot of people would lose interest in after a while. I still think having those other two really get their development rolling in their own series would be the way to go. Especially since they don't need to keep dragging the Order storyline on.

Why on earth would you give a character such as Danielbeast limited time and lines in front of the camera? He (Daniel) has given up everything for a cause he knows little or nothing about. He does this out of care and concern for Bree.

Show us more of Daniel. His last video helped giving us a little more background on his life, but we ache for more. Show us more insight to how he is feeling, what HE is going through because he chose to help Bree.

No it ISN'T confirmed. Bree mereley mentioned his name. She also mentioned TWK and Paytotheorderofofof2. She also mentioned other people during the 'Cookie Monster' video.

The mentions of "Paytotheorderofofof" and the people in the "Cookie Monster" video were way, way back in the beginning, when the creators were still trying to make it look like Bree was a real person. That's why they made sure to mention people on YouTube, because that's the convention on YouTube -- for people to respond/comment on other people/videos there.

AFAIK, since Lonelygirl15 has been outed as a fictional project, nobody has been mentioned in the videos unless they're canon (not counting twjaniak, who I still think has more to do with the project than he's letting on).

Nora and Lurker, I'm not going to quote your posts, but I think you both have some very good points. Nora, you've obviously been involved with LG15 for a long time and have some background information; I've also read some very respectful comments about you on this forum, and am grateful you're still contributing occasionally over here. as some of you may be aware i keep making this predition but i'll say it again anyway

i expect another stessed daniel video about everythinghe's given up and the difficulties of life on the run but then rap it up with somehting like 'but its worth it for her'

actually that ties in nicely with my long rant of a theory a coiple of posts up (which i think was slighty overshadowed by the even longer one by Nora Volkova after it) if the key thing turns out to be subtle and just raises stress and uneasyness because let be honest people this is a very subtle series not an action film so why should they go against type and tare up the room (apart from anything its expensive) and about the gemma fute read my above post as i said there is one big issue that needs to be adressed about gemma's future
