Slow gossip day? I mean, the only juicy gossip today was what? Lindsay Lohan sucking down 2.5 grams of blow by herself and claiming to have banged Jude Law? They were desperate for news
2.5 grams AND Jude Law? Dude, how did you know what my plans for friday are!?!

heh I loved these books when I was younger too, and the tv show.

I miss those days. Sometimes I wish I could go back lol, maybe I should just pick up one of the books and see if it works lol.

I've thought about trying to find them, but I'm afraid they'll be so inane now that it'll piss me off and ruin my lovely BSC memories. :D

I remember after reading the one where Claudia tries to find out if she's adopted and doing the same thing...I was atleast hoping to have a secret identical twin living somewhere. :D

lol, yea I'm scared of that too, of reading them now and being like "what the heck did I ever see in these things."

maybe I'll have to find when I have kids, maybe it would be different then lol.

Bwah! That would be great, giving them to the kids one day. It was weird to read the synopsis for the books, because after a point I stopped reading them and all this crazy stuff happened. :D

I blot the grease off my pizza to this day thanks to those books.

They were also the reason I pursued pet sitting for extra cash as a teen instead of babysitting. It sounded so crappy. (and it is...$10 for watching your kid for 5 hours? are you kidding me?? The neighbors would pay me twice that much to take care of their parakeet for a night!)

Ten dollars for five hours? I always got at least $5 per hour, if not more.

Ann M. Martin has a new series out now. The first book JUST came out two weeks ago.

I don't think she's that good of an author, really. She can tell somewhat entertaining stories but she certainly doesn't live up to the standard of a lot of contemporary children's authors.

I think the quality of children's books has drastically improved in the last 10-15 years.
